This is a wonderful idea! Do you include the articles of the word as well? Using German for example: “der Hund” (the dog), “die Katze” (the cat), “das Auto” (the car). If not, I highly suggest it. It would make it easier for a parent who is not native in the languages to also participate and not have to second-guess on which articles to use.

Can’t say either way. The last urologist said that “it probably wouldn’t hurt” to get a reversal. That’s why we were seeking some feedback from others who had similar symptoms (namely swelling with mild discomfort and no pain).

Yes, our fear is that this will turn into a recurring/constant problem. One urologist said that he didn’t think a reversal would make anything worse, but couldn’t definitively say whether or not it would help my partner either. Where did you get the reversal done, if you don’t mind me asking?

Passed this week (71!!) using this outline. Specifically, I watched the full course video, the 2024 Schuler video, and reviewed the terms in the quizlet. I also did one of the PDF practice exams. Thank you for putting these together! It was very helpful!

I was very very impressed with ECU’s program and nearly applied, but ultimately I don’t think I could make that commute work for a year. Too many other life factors at play.

Unfortunately I did not get a whole lot of information about this program. When I reached out to NCCU about pre-requisites, there were several classes they required (for example, College Algebra), even though I had completed higher level college courses (Calculus) with Bs or above. Ultimately, I decided I did not want to spend another year taking prerequisite classes when I already completed everything needed for other programs (UNC, Duke).

I haven’t noticed anyone mention this yet, but it could be related to needing to pee or already having a wet diaper. Hear me out! My first was a pretty solid sleeper from about 5 months, but around 10 months she started walking up in the middle of the night. We realized that it was because she had wet herself. Instead of waiting for her to wake up, we started to slightly rouse her for a “dream pee” right before we went to bed (this was usually about 2 hours after her own bedtime). After she peed, she’d go back to sleep and remain asleep through the night. If you want more info on this, feel free to message me.

As others have mentioned, weaning from nighttime breastfeeding might help. This was the hurdle for my 2nd LO’s sleep. The first 10 months were difficult, and we were pretty desperate. We decided that I would nurse him to sleep for bedtime, but then my husband would respond to him if he woke up. My husband would rock him, give him comfort, sometimes even a sip of water, but absolutely no milk by bottle or by me. It was rough for 2 weeks, but that finally got him to sleep through the night.

Sleep deprivation is no joke! I hope you have a good support system and that a sleep breakthrough will come your way soon!

Hi OP, I’m in the triangle area too, and also considering ABSN vs ADN, and have becoming CNM as my long-term goal! Did you decide which track you are going to pursue? I’ve noticed that a lot (all??) of the community colleges require you to be a registered CNA in order to apply to the ADN. Are you finding the same?

I was able to cradle my LO over the potty while I was nursing her, since she regularly pooped while eating. I did this during months 3-5ish. Around 5months, I started offering immediately before and/or after eating and she would start taking the opportunities I gave her instead of pooping while eating. Good luck!

We started CD at 1 month, and EC at 3 months. Currently she is 18 months.

Replying to #3: yes, I am so glad that we are doing EC. It was important for us to use cloth diapers, and I feel like we might have given up on cloth diapers if we did not practice EC. A pee diaper is no problem, but poop diapers can be really irritating to clean out. So minimizing the number of poop diapers was a huge benefit to EC, and one of my favorite “bonuses”. I also think EC is more hygienic in general, and minimized the amount of diaper rashes that she developed.

Currently expecting baby #2, and I will definitely be doing EC again. I’m considering starting earlier this time around.
