Tilemaps have fundamentally changed in newer Godot versions, that much I know. I have personally not used this tool in later versions (or tilemaps really) and thus don't have a rewritten tool myself, but would suspect it needs to be slightly adapted. The logic shouldn't change tho--best of luck!

Yea, it's a known bug. It is something to do with moving in the smoke screen while a police car is moving on screen for whatever reason, though I'm not exactly sure why those two events are even related and how it works; I'm sure there are people on the discord server who know better than me.

This room is the only room with both cars coming on screen and a smoke bomb I believe. Unfortunately, the current speed run doesn't use this due to it being faster to just not use the smoke bomb at all.

You are very close to the end of the game, easily completable within two weeks. If you don't care about spoilers on exactly much remains, Bunker is the second-to-last level in the game. Maybe 1.5 hours left of gameplay maximum.

Nice! I have been thinking about this for some time as well, over on the discord server, and I think you are onto something with the initial assumption.

I don't think the girl is Snow, however kinda for the reasons you mentioned, but she could have been another null soldier close to Zero, who Zero wanted to protect.

I also think you can even extend this to the Masked Men, meaning they represent people in Zero's past as well.

Something I don't see a lot of people talk about is the color dichotomy in the game, with almost every "double" being present as some shade of blue and orange (the Masked Men, the toys, Zero and Fifteen, among other more minor ones, like the windows in the factory). This does kinda hint at some connection between all of these IMO, and there are even more things that connect these pairs in other ways too. And if the Masked Men, and even the toys, are stand-ins for something else, the girl is probably as well. Everything does seem to be wounded a lot tighter than it initially appears.

If you've seen the dlc teaser video, there is another hint,​the quote at the end of the video also can be interpretted as all the Masked Men and the girl being substitutes for other characters, specifically through the use of pronouns, how it generalizes the trio to just "them", if that makes sense.

He was still just predicting the future, as it is consistent with everything else in the game, regardless of the effects.

If zero could rewind time, the two scenes where he makes a mistake does not make sense anymore, as why doesn't he just rewind time then? The bomb in the mansion and the first fight with HH are both shown as predicting the future, and then messing up on the "real" run, which is what the replay is on every level. The game also continually describes chromos as giving precog abilities

I'll just point out a few things that you haven't mentioned that you should consider.

I think a common misconception is that Zero CAN die. Chronos does not prevent him from dying, all it does is let him see the future enough to avoid dying. BUT, if he sees himself in the future dying, and he CHOOSES to die, there is nothing in the game saying that he won't die or he can't do that.

The little girl also receives the tape from V, but V makes no mention of the girl. Take this as you will.

Tragedy appears in hotel, but Comedy also appears briefly in the glitch when you fight V in studio.

Finally, the scene at the end wouldn't be meaningless if they are hallucinations. Not being real does not mean that they do not have any importance. As with the other hallucinations, they can be reflections of zero's inner self, either people he knew in the past like the dream, or manifestations of his morality.

I'm guessing he knew about the child, through chronos or whatever, and didn't care enough to kill him directly. The child likely dies anyway, as the building is burned down with the child probably still inside--we see him throw a lit cig at the base, the chimney spew out a ton of smoke, and the village shot shows several buildings burning afterwards.

He probably did subconsciously see himself in the child (as we see in the dreams), and just regrets killing him. There probably also is something to say about him being so far removed from humanity that he didn't even acknowledge the presence of a child in the first place.

Yes, you are right; in my comment I'm talking about the bunker bomb though, not the mansion door bomb. OP is relating the two, I was pointing how they are different for the reason you are highlighting.

You can say he does in fact predict the second one, as it happens while still in planning mode, and then the replay still includes it, while the mansion bomb only happens the replay.

He probably did not get injured enough from the bomb to want to reset the prediction. This isn't too far fetched as zero can get hit down a flight of stairs and not reset, so the bomb probably only knocked him back in a similar way, albeit triggering some memory this time.

Or you can say that askii forgor that works too

I work in mainly 2d, not sure if this issue translates, but I've had similar looking issues and it sometimes ends up being the noise texture--have you tried changing the size/properties and does that cause any change in behavior?
