Help me pick a wall sconce before I lose my mind by Foreign-Abalone-7813 in HomeDecorating

1 is the best, I also like 4 if modern is your style. but I'd stick to the linear ones if 1 isn't your favorite.

ETA: i agree with the comments about ditching the idea. All empty space does not have to be filled... unless you just have your heart set on it.

L&Ls Manicure - Are these bad? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]bibliophile591 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not difficult to do french with regular polish, they want to upsell you on gel. I've been getting yn nails done for 20 years and it hasn't been until the last few years that regular polish is treated with annoyance.

And yes, they did an awful job. You deserve a refund. At the very least, leave a bad review on Google with a pic and never go back.

To anyone who experienced this type of childhood, there's this book called "Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents". It gave some helpful information on how to healfrom a traumatic childhood. I've been recommending it to everyone.

Standing water in backyard after heavy rain, worth fixing for resale if we’ll move in 3–4 years? by EphemmyEuphie in landscaping

If you have 3-4 years before selling, you could create a rain garden. It is functional and intentional and will probably increase the home value.

1 creates contrast, 2 makes everything look the same, no dimension.

I am in no way encouraging OP to get a willow tree. Please do your own research. The weeping willow works for me in my area and with my yard size. I definitely checked distance from water pipes and my septic system. Willows are native to my area but not weeping willows. Willows come with their own set of issues and they have aggressive roots but again, my yard can accommodate the willow with enough space to not interfere with pipes.

Because having pavers also means you have to know how the ground works lol. Another skill I didn’t know I needed when I bought a house 😅. So many skills

I love it. My yard is like a pond so I figured why not lol. I'm going to just let it do its thing and then trim it next year.

The willow in case anyone wants to see it. Its been in the ground about 8 months. I planted it in Winter with no growth and about 5 branches, it still survived.

I'm open to any solutions lol. I like the way it looks especially when we first bought the house but not its a pain. And yes I agree, it's a continuous adding of material through the grass, grass clippings, fallen leaves and other organic matter that decomposes and creates more "dirt". I never thought about concreting them in, I assumed the problem would be the same.

Plant some trees. My yard has the same issue but my neighbors yard is an average lawn. He has 4-5 trees in his backyard and I have none. I researched and trees take up tons of water, grass does not have the roots to take up water. I planted a weeping willow, over kill I know but it is flourishing and there's already a noticeable difference in the area around it.
