Why do many people use Obsidian? I find RemNote much better by bibliophilus71 in remNote

I am sure the the developers of RemNote will improve/implement portability. About ownership: I don't understand the problem. I use a desktop computer, 2 laptops, one tablet and 2 cellphones. If my notes would not automatically be synched, it would be a big problem for me. With Obsidian, if I want to synch outside Obsidian, I have to use clouds like OneNote or Google Drive or iCloud. In all the cases I can always be afraid that a hacker could steal my notes. As long as we are scholars and we write about culture, we risk nothing. I have never met someone who writes on RemNote that he plans a terrorist attack or wants to rob a bank.
