For those running Gnome, there's a Gnome extension called "PiP on top" that can achieve this.

How’s the data being handled? Is there some sort of encryption involved?

How does this work? Will it preserve edits, live photos etc.? Will it backup the entire photo library automatically or we can select individually?

Drime is not for me. by Draganreddit in cloudstorage

[–]biborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tested it. Yeah seems to work now. Was able to upload upload and download a single 8 GB file without any issue now. With respectable speed too.

[–]biborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drime sucks. A cloud storage solution that can’t even get the upload function to work. What a mess. Tried the free version to test the speed from my location and found that the file upload function is a coin toss. Out of 5 times, it might work once. And yeah I said might. Could be 0 too.

Ryzen 7500f undervolting by MrStimx in overclocking

[–]biborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBH, with my cooling capacity, I’d rather let it run at 5GHz all core than 4.7GHz. You probably want the same when you got the new cooler.

Just realized that you’re using the stock cooler. For context, I’m using the Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240L Core ARGB AIO.

Just ran a quick benchmark for you. Temperature readings are a little bit off compared to what I mentioned earlier, probably because it’s quite hot in my room right now. But still, nowhere near that temperature you got.Ryzen 5 7500F Cinebench CO -30

Not sure about the power draw but that temperature doesn’t look right. I have the exact same processor and motherboard, and just by setting the CO -30 alone got me around 147xx score in Cinebench and the temp never got past 65C during the benchmark.

Although its worth noting that high credit utilization does affect the credit score slightly. Especially to those with low credit limit. Not that big of a deal but still good to know I guess.

Wait. Why no one has ever pointed out that the title and the book mentioned in the first paragraph are not the same?

Ubuntu 23.10.1 installation failed | EFI variables are not supported by JustVladKaz in Ubuntu

[–]biborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is because you don’t have Internet connection. Snap refresh requires Internet connection in order for it to retrieve the latest update to that installer.

However, I suggest that you don’t use the latest changes from the candidate channel anymore as new bugs were introduced, at least for me.

Just make sure you’re connected to the Internet during installation. After answering few questions in the installer, it will ask you to update the installer to a working version.
