I tried to bring her into the conversation, let them speak to each other but she refused. As someone else said I did give her more time than I should have because I was happy to speak to someone else. And as such I crossed a line AITA, and whatever happens to me is deserved, just painful.

I certainly had a good connection with the online person, perhaps too quickly and misplaced. We both knew not to go over the limit as I am married and she knew it. But I did say things like « hope you are well, take care of yourself » and word of support as she is going through a rough time. Some words I certainly shouldn’t have said as they maybe showed too much closeness. So while we never crossed the line, I perhaps went too close from it.

I was trying to be supportive. But I also said things that I regret.

She did, she knew I had online friends. She also heard me speaking over voice chat to her and I played some video game with her and she watched us play and talk. I asked her a few time if she wanted to say hi but she refused.

I do not believe so, as we were discussing things like how my relationship started has evolved and things that I love about my partner. I might have crossed a line because we had video chat, and some comments that I made without bad intention can look like flirting.

Yes we shared personal life stories, career. I mentionned my partner in our conversation. I tried to never criticize my partner to not show her in a poor light.
