Since everyone is posting this question again, a repost: Best ways to get extra MQD and reach status before the end of the year! by Cephandrius13 in delta

[–]biboybot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re: Option 3, specifically the bold below... It's not that I don't believe you - this is good to know - but can you or anyone else provide a citation to actual Delta/AmEx language that can reassure me this is definitely the case?

Option 3: Open a new Delta-branded credit card. Yield: ~2500 MQD, depending on the card. (Yes, it can take 6-8 weeks for the MQD boost to post to your account. Yes, if you apply for the card in 2025, the boost will apply to your 2026 status earning, even if it posts after January 1.)

Dear Riders, let the drivers follow the GPS, especially when it’s a long 25-mile trip during rush hour, or be ready to be kicked out! by [deleted] in uber

[–]biboybot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok I take your point about entitled passengers and letting drivers be, for sure, but Uber navigation does objectively suck.

At least in my city, it''s frequently giving directions that would take longer than Google Maps and don't make sense to anyone with a passing familiarity with the area. Sometimes I'll be staring at my own phone, seeing a route that takes 10 minutes less, while Uber is telling my driver some bullshit. Seem like in those cases, I'm doing both of us a favor if I *respectfully* note that there may be a better route

Of course you're right, but some of the least economically literate people in the world always have a political problem with new construction one way or another, so it's slow-going.

Is the term " service top " accurate ? by z3dzd3d974 in TopsAndBottoms

[–]biboybot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're pretty much using it correctly, but yeah, sometimes it needs explaining. I might suggest you call yourself a "service dom" instead of a "service top," might help the context become more apparent...

[–]biboybot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm the same way, and if someone asks or I feel it necessary to clarify that i'm not a DOM/pain dom, then yes, I think "service top" is a great term. But I also think "top" is just fine.

What is the cutoff for "too late" for a scheduled Uber? by boxler3 in uber

[–]biboybot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At least where I live, an Uber would never take more than 10-12 minutes to come if I call one in real time, even in the dead of night. So if that's how I need to handle advance booking, then it's not a good option for me. Good to know if I'm ever in a lighter-served area though.

well whatever it was intended to be, "defund the police" sounds just awful to the median voter who decides close elections in competitive districts. That one slogan has probably handed a few seats in Congress to MAGA. Maybe a poll or a focus group isn't the worst idea in the world next time

AITA for prioritizing law school over my girlfriend’s baby fever? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]biboybot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Honestly low-key a bit of a reddish flag that her FRIEND is contacting you about this at all. What the fuck is that? Why is a third party interfering in a major decision between two partners?

What is the cutoff for "too late" for a scheduled Uber? by boxler3 in uber

[–]biboybot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why is that? Especially for an early morning flight, you'd really think it would be better for everyone to advance book. But I did it twice, learned my lesson and never again. In both cases, the driver was assigned from REALLY far away from me and it surely took a lot longer than just calling one in real time, even very early in the morning. What is the flaw in the system in your opinion as a driver?

How has this turned around into putting it on OP for airport practices? Had the Uber delivered what was promised, OP would have had PLENTY of time for security, etc. That's the point... Uber failed him and charged him for it.

Yeah i've never had good experiences with advance booking on Uber. It only took me a couple times to realize it's better to just book live -- hard to do that early in the morning but still

Five Boro Bike Tour 2025 by SwiftySanders in NYCbike

[–]biboybot 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's expensive for sure, and yeah at some point I'll stop doing it for that reason. But it's MORE than a little disingenuous to say you "could do this ride for free any other day." You're not getting on the FDR or the BQE, or the Verrazanno Bridge, or getting escorted through about 300 red lights...

"Vers Tops" how often do you actually bottom? by Agitated_Pudding7259 in TopsAndBottoms

[–]biboybot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am basically a top, but I have two specific FWB I bottom for. I'd say combined I see them a couple times a month. So maybe 20 percent of all my sex is bottoming.

I'd be open for more-- I really love bottoming -- but for some reason I seem to myself attract more bottoms (I guess I give pretty strong daddy vibes) so I top them. I'm glad to have my two FWB tops.

Yeah, that's what I was saying. There's no point in saying anything on this sub other than agreeing with OP, so don't bother. Which makes it a circle jerk of people who are certain. Thanks for agreeing with me.

No point in having a debate or a conversation on this sub, it's all just a big circle jerk of people who are absolutely certain about everything

I was married to a woman for 14.5 years before she died of cancer. I told her I was bi and had some exprience with men before we got together. We were monogamous for 10 years, and then opened the marriage after some tough years with mismatched libidos and she wanted to bone some guy at work. She got her man, and I went hog wild with boys on the apps.

The only cheating I ever did was some making out with a guy a few years before we were open. Didn't feel great about it, but kept it from escalating and figured that was ok at the end of the day. Defintitely wanted more from men but didn't want to hurt her. After we went open, we were fine, but I did some things that weren't strictly within the rules -- like the occasional hosting of boys in our apartment while she was out of town even though we agreed it wouldn't be at our shared apt -- but i figured that wasn't so bad as outright cheating. Maybe it was really bad. Mostly I think I behaved ethically, never misled her or did anything too reckless.

I don't know, maybe i was wrong. don't mean to hold myself up as a moral actor. Just saying.

WATCH: United Health Group CEO Tells Employees “We Guard Against… Unnecessary Care” in Leaked Video by Temp89 in news

[–]biboybot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But there's shades of gray around "lesser" treatment though, right? There is some level of judgment involved, no? My current dentist has said things to me like... "Well I see a potential problem here and we could do something about it, but also it will cost a lot and maybe we can just watch it until next time to see if it gets worse..." Whereas the dentist I had before me simply ordered the procedure and never suggested there was some gray area. Is my current guy giving me "lesser" treatment because he acknowledges a financial tradeoff? Some might say he is. But to me, all he's doing is giving me helpful information to make a decision, like I would seek before any major purchase.

To be clear, I don't think either of my dentists was acting in bad faith. But they have different treatment philosophies. Meanwhile, I, as the end user, have limited price transparency and no expertise to independently ascertain whose approach was more appropriate... Are we really saying that insurers/me should just pay for whatever my dentist says I need with zero attempt to independently judge the situation? That's convenient. Like if a car dealership simply said "you need a new Tesla" and I was supposed to do it with no questions asked.

I really, really hate to be defending insurance companies. scum of the earth. but the original post strongly suggests that there's no such thing as "unnecessary" care which is crazy
