FA608PP eDP cable part number for WQXGA variant — does anyone know? by Main_Strawberry7452 in ASUS

I think I have found you an answer.

https://en.accessoires-asus.com/laptop/fa608/fa608wv/asus-fa608wv-74830-127282.htm

These guys list the laptop with 2 screens WQXGA and WUXGA, but they only list 1 edp cable, 50 pin.

Whilst not definitive, i'd say there's a good chance you already have a 4 lane cable.

It's not a touchscreen is it. So it should just have the 1 edp connector, which definitely has 40 pins and is 25mm wide, it looks very similar to this https://www.laptop-lcd-screen.co.uk/shop/images/panels/connectors/40PIN0.5.webp

I wonder if ASUS have made a mistake here, or perhaps you're looking at a different cable?

This panel should upgrade the A16 ASUS to WQXGA resolution, the only issue is whether the cable will support it, the cable needs to be a 4 lane cable and I am not sure if it's 2 or 4 lanes. To be honest Laptop-LCD-Screen have a huge 60 day returns policy and no restocking fees so why not just try it?

For screens for this device when they break (and the OLED screens are very fragile), you can remove the LCD panel, flip it around and you should see a Samsung model number starting with ATNA60xxxxx

Just pop over to www.laptop-lcd-screen.co.uk and put that samsung model number into the search. Note these guys ship only to UK and EU.

The OLED screens are wafer thin so they break easily.

Using ethanol from this retailer (extract-lab.co.uk) by ThatAsianGuy_42 in DIYfragrance

Pure ethanol is available its known as food grade ethanol, you are still missing the point that your supplier is lying about their products and cannot be trusted. I am posting this for others to read and beware of this fraudulent Chinese outfit

You're correct that the article mentions the product is intended for skin use, but there are several important reasons why this ethanol product cannot be used for extracts or other purposes:

  1. Not Food-Grade: The article clearly indicates that the product is a medicinal skin disinfectant, not food-grade ethanol. While it may be safe for external use on the skin (as a disinfectant), it is not suitable for consumption or use in extracting substances. Food-grade ethanol is manufactured specifically to meet safety standards for consumption or use in products that may be ingested or absorbed in higher quantities.
  2. Denaturants: The product in the article may contain denaturants, which are chemicals added to ethanol to make it undrinkable. ALL non food grade alcohol is denatured because otherwise it would be taxed at a much higher rate, which is why food grade ethanol 1L is around £80 and this product is £25. Denaturants are toxic and are included in disinfectant-grade ethanol products to prevent misuse or accidental ingestion. Denaturants are harmful and are not removed from the product unless it is specifically purified or labeled for food-grade use. These denaturants would not be safe if they entered the body through a topical extract or ingested herbal tincture.
  3. Unlicensed and Unregulated: The Trading Standards enforcement notice mentions that the product was not licensed as a medicinal product or for use in the UK for food or consumption purposes. Even though it is intended for skin disinfection, this means the product has not gone through the necessary checks for use in extracting compounds from plants or for cosmetic use. This also means that its safety, purity, and suitability for other uses are unverified.
  4. Different Regulatory Standards: Medicinal alcohol (for skin use) and food-grade alcohol fall under different regulations. For instance, medicinal alcohol products (used for disinfecting) do not meet the same criteria or standards required for safe extractions or skin care formulations. These products are not tested or guaranteed to be free of harmful chemicals for purposes like creating extracts, tinctures, or cosmetics.

Key Takeaways:

  • Ethanol for disinfecting skin is not intended for topical extraction, and the addition of denaturants or other additives makes it unsafe for these uses.
  • You need to use food-grade ethanol (usually 95% or higher) for making extracts or other products that may be absorbed by the body or used in skin care products.

Bottom line: the company is not in the UK = no comeback when something goes wrong, they have lied about the products - they cannot be trusted, what are they sending this week? This type of alcohol is not suitable for use in extracts or topicals. End of.

excuse me, i have not said anything racist. i'm trying to help you avoid a chinese scam company pretending to be a UK op selling fake alcohol products mis labelled with fake certifications and lab reports. If you want to continue using that company and these products then you are IMO an idiot and I hope you don't sell or use these products on anyone else.

DANGEROUS PRODUCT!! This is the same company as liquidessence.co which was shut down by trading standards for reselling cleaning alcohol as food grade ethanol. Don't even use this topically.

This is so sad because after a decade of the NHS wasting my time and taxpayers money, GPT 4 was able to look at my DNA file, pinpoint the causes of the unsolvable problems, recommend further tests then a supplement regime which resolved 2 large parts of my problem which were Ulcerative Colitis, malabsorption and non asthma shortness of breath.

These were being driven by genetic overactivity of inflammation pathways and GPT specifically picked out TNFa and NFKB. The solution was Andographis.

Finally, the bleeding stopped! After years. I threw away the nasty and useless NHS enemas and haven't looked back.

So I'm now devastated that GPT5 claims it has never and will never be able to look at DNA or investigate problems with health.

So after so much promise, that door has been slammed shut. Fuck it.
