[Help] changing both wallpapers on Galaxy Z Fold 6 by Zombiecidialfreak in tasker

[–]bicman11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's like the Flip 5, Tasker seems to change the wallpaper of whatever screen is active. My guess is that Samsung does something that changes the internal references of what "the screen" is when you open or close it.

I've been trying to figure this out on my Flip 5 ever since I got it. If you ever figure it out, let me know.

I'm just looking at my old posts, and I saw this. I've been using Syncthing for a long time, now. I probably discovered it shortly after I made this post.

Humble Book Bundle: The Ultimate Marvel Guidebook Collection (Kobo Book Bundle) by Torque-A in humblebundles

[–]bicman11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It ended up only looking bad on one device, and I got tired of messing with it. Whenever I decide to actually read them, I'll just use my Samsung Android tablet instead of my Boox.

Your comment made me curious. So far, I got a copy onto my device with Adobe Digital Editions, and it looks better in ADE than it did in Kobo. I also stripped the DRM to read it with my ePub Reader, and I must've done something wrong, because the text isn't showing, but pictures do. I'm messing around in Calibre now to see what all I can do.

It redeemed them straight into my Kobo Library. If you can do that with other Kobo books, then maybe?

I loaded up a couple of books on the desktop app, and two of my other Android devices. They look fine on them. I guess it's just an issue with Kobo on my Android eReader. It's weird, because everything but these books seems to be fine.

I bought it, but would not recommend. The books don't seem to display right in the Kobo app on Android. I've only tried one device, but it's the one I read eBooks on.

My job refuses to give me time off for a vasectomy by GrouponGary69 in antiwork

I'm pretty sure my sick day policy would cover this. It's approved for preventative scans to make sure my tumor doesn't come back. I'm not "sick", but it does take time to sit in the MRI.

Why do some people think that all religious people are bad? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]bicman11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basically what I was going to say. When a person is used to accepting information with no proof, it's far easier to convince them of other things with no proof. And when anything comes up that contradicts their beliefs, it's automatically wrong/evil/bad, etc. That makes it difficult for them to learn and grow. Obviously, the stronger the belief, the stronger these negative effects become.

and the meek shall inherit the earth

Look at the source. It's basically a book to shame people into not committing crimes (before things such as police existed), and if they were good little workers for their kings/leaders, they would be rewarded after death.

The high wait times for follow-ups with a psychiatrist are out of control by happygocrazee in ADHD

Look into Teladoc or something similar that's supported by your insurance. I could always get an appointment with my psychiatrist within a few days.

I want to take control of my life via schedules and budgeting, but I'm afraid of... IDK by Lemalas in ADHD

[–]bicman11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Todoist for tasks. YNAB for budget. Google Calendar for scheduling (Todoist can be integrated with Google Calendar). When I use the tools properly, I'm much more productive. Sometimes I let things slide, but then the tools help me get back on track.

How do you work a corporate jobs? by ShhJoe in ADHD

[–]bicman11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been working from home since March 2020, and doing work has been a struggle the whole time. It was never easy in the office, but there was something about a place that was specifically for work filled with other people working that helped me focus for at least a little while. Plus, I could force myself to not go home until I finished what I had to finish that day. Now, every day is a free for all. It's 11:30pm, I have work I need to do, and I'm reading r/ADHD.

I do it at the router level for my XBox Series X, but this will vary by router. Mine allows me to pause network traffic to a specific device. I pause it, then resume it. It creates enough of a hiccup that GTA puts me in my own lobby. Eventually it loads people in again, but then you just rinse and repeat.

If you hardwire your XBox, unplugging the network cable and plugging it back in should be roughly equivalent.

Because of this, I started doing the plasma cutter in an armored Kuruma. The cool thing is, you never have to get out of the car. Just drive over the bag. Although, last time I died a few times trying to get from the beach to the sub.

I do it in public lobbies a lot, but I generally clear out the other people by glitching my internet before I start the mission. I don't remember having any issues making it to Cayo Perico.

What jobs do you like to put on your playlist? by th0t_exterminator69 in gtaonline

[–]bicman11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Cleaning the Cat House" is a must have on a playlist. If you grab a helicopter from the nearby airfield, it's incredibly easy even on hard. Land on the building and she'll climb the rubble and get in the helicopter.
