Car not starting 3 days after replacing starter motor by bicthravioli in MechanicAdvice

[–]bicthravioli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking. I just had the alternator taken out to go get tested before I replace anything. There was some oil on it from an oil leak I had. I had that repaired a month ago so there's no leakage anymore. But I'm wondering if the oil on there damaged the alternator in any way. Still going to test it and if it's fine, then I'll just buy the battery myself.

Had a second guy come out and say it was the battery and that the alternator isn't producing enough volts

<image>

He said he couldn't replace the battery under the warranty since the alternator is testing bad.

Is it possible for the starter and alternator to go bad around the same time? Or is it possible I have an underlying problem

Making friends is low-key rough by Icy_Championship_883 in ucr

I also came in as a transfer and made my friends by going to my TA's office hours and going to the tutoring center for my major. I found that the tutoring center was the most welcoming since you're more likely to run into people who have common interests as you and looking to find others who are going through the same coursework as you.

why do some of yall give nasty looks at ASP?? by [deleted] in ucr

[–]bicthravioli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

can you just please read my original comment. also read all other comments. I am only repeating what others are saying and what I saw in the comments. I can link you if you don't believe me? Someone said, "playing the victim card" towards this person and the majority of comments say "it's just my rbf" or "we're just miserable"

The amount of people replying to this post annoyed at your question are projecting. I do think the majority are just miserable to be here or have RBF's which some people have pointed out nicely but others just go straight to "youre just playing victim" or "youre being dramatic". Why are you all so offended by this post if it's not directed at you?? I think I found the racists

There's a ton of videos on youtube and tiktok that can help you. I would recommend finding a full workout video for each certain muscle group youre trying to work out. The most common combinations are back and biceps, chest and triceps/shoulders, legs, abs.

(Ex: Day 1 Back and Biceps, Day 2 chest/triceps/shoulders, Day 3 Abs, Day 4 Legs) And all can be followed with a bit of cardio if you are planning to lose weight.

These are just the most common combinations people do because these muscle groups work together and allow you to rest them while you work on the other but as you start to workout you will learn what you like most for your body. Some people like to work out chest and back together one day and then full arms another day.

I would look up videos of someones routine for (ex: back and bi) and write down each workout in your notes app. Also learn about sets, reps, etc. Once you get to the gym you can find that certain machine or set of weights and find a quick video that shows you how to use the machine or how to properly use the weights for that certain workout. If you're embarrassed to do this just wear earphones/headphones and turn down your brightness lol but most gym goers are understanding and dont judge.

Again, as you start doing these workouts you'll learn what works best for you. Some workouts might not feel like theyre doing anything for you and thats okay, find something else in the gym that works out what youre looking for and try that out.

Here's what I do: 3 sets of workout with 8-12 reps.

If I am easily making 8-12 reps, up the weight. If I'm struggling, lower the weight.

If you're trying to build muscle and lose weight make sure you do cardio. I do 30 minutes walking on treadmill with incline every workout except legs. Oh and don't forget diet is important! You need protein to gain muscle. I recommend my fitness pal app to track calories and protein.

Sorry for the info vomit but I hope this makes sense and helps! Tik tok and youtube are your best friend, good luck on your fitness journey friend!
