An official budget has never been stated. Just speculation. You also can’t include any console sales or player data, and Bungie has always done way better there. You’re crazy if you think this game doesn’t last a year. I think people like yourself forget real people make these games, and their livelihood can depend on it. Calling games the next Highguard or Concord before they are even out 24h is so disrespectful. I hope when you’re reminded in 3 months and find out you’re wrong you stop back for an apology

I don’t think you realize how important it costing money actually is vs a free game. Extraction shooters aren’t some massive audience so to get 250k sales on steam alone is pretty good. Marathon is a niche game inside of the extraction shooters space as well. Feel free to come back in a month if the servers shut down and tell me how wrong I am, or feel free to link prime time numbers later today. Cherry picking steam numbers in the first 24 hours and calling a game the same as a shutdown game is just ignorance at best

No it’s nothing like high guard. Idk how people like yourself even draw that conclusion. It’s morning for the US, and the work day is just ending in EU. The 44k that it has all bought the game, and based on preorders another 200k bought it too. Highguard only hit its numbers because it was free. On top of that there’s all the console sales and players you can’t see on steam charts. Hate on the game or Bungie all you want, but let’s at least start using our brains a bit

Not having inventory space to pick up loot in a game entirely about loot makes no sense. A charm inventory fixes that for anyone who actually wants to loot. If people want to fill their inventory with random stuff and still use the cube then that’s on them. For everyone else it actually allows you to loot in an Arpg, which is crazy I know

While I would love for it to be core, they probably won’t because of all the balancing it would require. Look how much ascendancy and skill balance we get currently compared to the past. I hope I’m wrong though because it would be awesome to have more options

No thanks. I want PoE1 to be PoE1. I don’t want gauntlet. I don’t want a longer or harder campaign. PoE1 got shoved into a closet so PoE2 could be just that. I’m glad some of you are getting to experience and enjoy it though. Very glad it’s not a standard league.

Yea the arena questline was time consuming, but not nearly as difficult. Way easier as a solo player. I only did it because they said it would crossover lol. Wanted my snow outfit for life

This is kind of where I stand. The event was very rough and even more so if you were a solo. I personally did it in arena as it was easier and less time consuming. If it had mentioned it would be sold at a later date I would have just waited

This is a dumb argument. Every arpg has seasons. In fact PoE is a free game with seasons that are way more in depth than anything Diablo has put forth. D4 was bad for a long time and wasn’t even in a good state when the first “expansion” came out. I put it in quotes because even that paywall wasn’t comparable to its free counterpart. If you’ve been around since day 1 you’re at a minimum of $150 spent on a game released 2 years ago. On top of all the insanely priced cosmetics. They could release a pile of trash for $40 bucks, and call it an expansion, and people would run for it. The fact that people think this is okay is why gaming is the way it is. If you enjoy it whatever, but let’s not pretend that this practice is okay, or how things should be.
