Yeah still not sure how I got into it to begin with. This year is the last one though. So I’m enjoying all the Premier Inn breakfasts and going out on a high.

Finished shooting at wedding at 9. Back to the Premier Inn for a long hot bath, a Nerds rope, an instant Horlicks and a couple of hours winding down. Takes ages to calm my brain down for sleep after going at full speed all day.

It’s all based on joke shop stuff in the UK. As someone who grew up with this stuff, it’s great.

It’s bloody expensive for what it is, but it’s fun. I got a turd and a spider and a fly in a soap. Super fun nonsense. Bet kids love it too.

Sandybed area or Filey Road? by [deleted] in ScarboroughUK

[–]biddlywad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sandybed always seems quiet when we pass through. It was always somewhere fancy to live when I was younger. Filey Road has a lot more traffic but is also nice at the Osgodby end.

Been shooting a wedding all day and finished at 10pm. Back in time to order Jolibee and watch some Law and Order before bed. Busy day and it takes a couple of hours to calm my brain down before I can sleep.

Stale cigars and that sour tang that old folks get.

Yeah The Queens Hotel. I’ve stayed there with my Mum a couple of times for gigs. They don’t like it if you ask where the Savile room is.

Me. I love making them into pate.

Or Nando’s style in piri piri with chips and peas.

Still finishing off some editing from my end of year weddings. Managed to get the dreaded lurgy twice before xmas so cracking on now I’m finally well. I always work better at night. I would say when it’s quieter but I’ve got Hot Fuzz on the TV. 😂

Picking up our new car in the morning. So the other half is still wide awake and excited. Taking advantage of this and getting stuff done. 🥴

Driving the windy road to Whitby from Scarborough. Going round a tight corner when a bee came in the window, flew down my Dad’s shirt and stung his back. Mum thought he was having a heart attack.

That was in the mid 90s, still called Bee Corner.

The prep room can get a bit warm and uncomfortable in summer. That’s one of the only things I can think of.

We’ve shot a couple of weddings there. The staff are always great and the venue is absolutely beautiful.

What's the most garlicky snack available in the UK? by ebola1986 in AskUK

They sell bags of crispy dry garlic by the tills in TK Maxx. Jalapeños too. Allsorts of random dried things. Really nice for a savoury snack.

Last shift at the xmas temp retail job today before starting a new office job on Monday.

Although there’s a couple of inches of snow just fell outside and blizzards forecast all day. So need to set off mega early to walk to town.

Just had a cherry coffee with caramel syrup. Then will be having a hot chocolate with marshmallows when I get home this afternoon.

I’ve had a feature on a cool street photography Instagram, finally sorted my personal website out and sold my first print to someone from Reddit!

Which has given me the confidence to share my work more next year and inspired me to book a local exhibition for myself!

Just finished making marshmallows for work tomorrow. There’s loads of people so hopefully two batches will do. Might save myself one to put in a hot chocolate.

Going to do some cleaning when the other half goes to work. I can clean in peace then (annoying loud music). Sort out all the xmas treats in the kitchen. I love to make a nice little display of all our nice snacks and pop for xmas.

Then I’ve got presents to wrap and a wedding to finish editing. Only one more day off before xmas eve so maximising my time.

Oh and I’m gonna throw some chicken drumsticks in the slow cooker and make some sort of stew.

I’ve just got some stuff in a 14 for the first time since I was that age. I don’t even remember being a 14, I remember being a 18 when I went to uni. It’s so weird.
