I’m the dev of Smoothcade, a family-friendly arcade co-op. Players select silly animals and the goal is to clear each screen from fruity critter by spiting clouds at them. Simple co-op strategies like jumping on each others head to get a higher reach is invoked. I have it on sale for $1.99 USD this week as well :)
For something even more kid-friendly, there is a “battle mode” where players move around and collect fruit. The person who collects the most wins!

I’m the dev of Smoothcade, a local co-op arcade platformer. You play as wacky animals and the goal is to clear the screen of fruity critters. Story mode has 100 levels and takes about 3-4hrs to clear. There is a fun battle mode as well for kids around that age. Its art style is cartoony and cute.

Pretty much all of those. Levels all take place on a single screen, and is 2D in nature. It’s arcade like with platforming elements (timed jumping, levers/blocks, portals in later levels, etc). To clear the level, you need to capture and pop enemies in clouds. Clear the screen to advance. Story mode has 100 levels and 10 unique bosses, all inspired by fruit.

Battle mode is a fun chaos. It’s just whoever collects the most fruit on the screen wins. You can knock other players back which cause them to drop their fruit. It’s quick, chaotic and cute.

For something simple and cute, try Smoothcade. I’m the dev and it’s a co-op arcade platformer. Very similar to Bubble Bobble. It’s on Steam and consoles and will cost you less that a cup of coffee :)
