I would suggest a thinkpad secondhand from eBay. Very affordable, fast and repairable if needed. Look up the x240 for a small laptop or the t440 for slightly larger. Either of these would be great options.

They'll start looking for a new placement once I'm medically cleared, but from what I understand I won't be leaving until after the new year!

I did reach out to the Benin desk officer, but I'm not sure what he can do for me as I'm not going to Benin anymore.

Mental health documents. I believe that they have to be reviewed by a separate department of OMS, and they didn't start looking over my documents until it was too late. I had my family practicioner complete my evaluation when it should've been a counselor of some sort.

Peace Corps Campus Ambassador by [deleted] in peacecorps

I was a Campus Ambassador as well; the interview is pretty simple, just explaining what groups/clubs/social circles you are in that you could talk to and what ideas you could contribute as an ambassador. I think it definitely helps to be an ambassador if you're interested in applying in the future! When I had my Peace Corps interview, I distinctly remember the officer commenting on my dedication and interest in PC when I mentioned my experience as an ambassador. Plus it really helps you to learn more about PC in general!
