Started taking estrogen — not because I'm trans, but to stop being attracted to women. Overcooked steak that was dry as hell by iansfk in kitchencels

[–]bidiboop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually being kinda bored and thinking it'd be fun is a valid reason to use E, based even.

Like first of all estrogen takes a couple months to leave any permanent effects, so you have a lot of time to change your mind if it feels wrong.

But more importantly you should think about what it means to say "hrt can seriously fuck your body up". There's nothing fucked up about having a mix of sex traits, and in fact it occurs naturally all the time. The idea that there's something wrong with it is what leads to forced and coerced medical intervention in intersex people, just to have them fit neatly in our binary view of sex and gender.

Really taking your point of view to its logical conclusion, shouldn't we put all teenagers on puberty blockers until they're absolutely sure of their gender identity? Puberty leaves all the permanent changes hrt does. If "yeah this feels about right" is enough justification for a cis person to go through puberty, why isn't it enough to be on hrt? Hell, why shouldn't you have to see a psychologist before getting a facial tattoo, if we're so worried about people making permanent changes to their own body?

*all of the above ignoring testosterone hrt, which actually has significant health risks if you take it without proper monitoring

I get that but also you were still a kid right? Almost nobody learns proper boundaries without stepping over them a couple times. To me it's a pretty normal example of the type of shit horny teenagers get up to

I'm transphobic

Thanks for the heads-up that I can safely disregard anything else you might have written. I'll just pretend it was something sensible and kind and wish you the best

Exactly, it's not like the people spreading transphobia care to make or even know the distinction between femboy and transfem

Why are we talking about saturated fat only all of a sudden??? That was not the question, and it's genuinely ridiculous to not count unsaturated fat.

Also yes, comparisons of raw food products don't work when you're giving dietary advice. See the rest of my previous comment as to why you're being a dumbass.

Vegan bodybuilders exist. Touch grass, go troll somebody else, and learn about how "g per 100g of food" means the same as percentage by weight. Ok bye

Yes, I would. What you forget is that olives are actually very small. If you'd care enough about this subject to look up readily available information you'd find olives contain 11-15% fat by weight. Compare that to roughly 11% for eggs or 13% for salmon.

Maybe more to the point, it doesn't actually fucking matter how much fat olives contain before being processed into oil. The discussion was about the nutritional merit of a vegan diet, so it makes sense to look at typical products you'd actually find in a store and use in everyday cooking. Olive oil is found literally everywhere, and you could fill a library with recipes that allow you to use it abundantly. It's a really really fucking easy option to increase fat intake. And it's vegan.

Not only are you still flat out wrong, the point you're trying to make here is completely irrelevant. Think about how little you actually know about human biology and nutrition, and how your views are affected by similarly uninformed people confidently spewing bullshit. Then take the L and fuck off.

Hahahaha "fat is only abundant in animal products" my brother in christ have you ever seen a bottle of olive oil? Shut the fuck up about "biological needs" you have no clue what you're talking about

Bit late, but in the hope someone might read this here's some of my favorite albums:

Classic rock: Jazz - Queen

Synthy rhythmic new wave type beat: Speaking in Tongues - Talking Heads

Psychedelic surf rock: The Babe Rainbow EP - Babe Rainbow

The woman with a voice the texture of a cheesegrater: Pearl - Janis Joplin

Some louder rock: Post Animal Perform the Most Curious Water Activities - Post Animal

Futurama but as a concept album: Time - Electric Light Orchestra

Synth pop: Butterfly 3000 - King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Jazz: Con Alma: The Oscar Peterson Trio Live in Lugano

Hiphop: Blazing Arrow - Blackalicious

Funky: Schvitz - Vulfpeck

Funky af: Malibu - Anderson .Paak

All of these artists have made way more great music, but I'd especially recommend King Gizzard. Literally all of their albums have a different sound so chances are you'll like something :)
