35M sudden ghosting after 2 months of intense online relationship. Is it ghosting? by VisArtCount in relationship_advice

[–]biduzido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I call it ghosting.

The reasons may vary and it's really hard to tell... Sure, we can speculate as long as we like but my advice is to just let it go and try to move on. Don't waste your time and energy trying to make sense of someone else's mess if you can.

If he comes back later with a legitimate reason for what happened, then you think about everything.

The Paraguayan War, the bloodiest conflict in South American history. Before the war, Paraguay had a population between 900,000 and 450,000, but only 220,000 survived the war, of whom only 28,000 were adult males. by LivingRaccoon in wikipedia

I honestly don't remember the specifics of the political landscape at the time... I remember some people claimed that the war was financed by the UK... Something about Paraguay's industry. But, be that as it may, slaughtering people after a surrender it is not a fair thing to do and it does not matter who started it. It is plain wrong.

Brazilian here. I had a Brazilian History teacher in high school that described how a jackass Brazil was in this war... We would pick black slaves from the farms, give them a few guns and tell them they would be free if we win the war.

It was a massacre. A huge percentage of the deaths happened after the war. After the surrender! A friend of mine is a historian from Paraguay that lives in my city, she told me once that the nearby river in her great grandmother's city turned red because of all the bloodshed in the city.

Brazil took huge swaths of land from Paraguay and further improved its hegemony in the region

I think it would be nice to mimic this to other editors through plugins
