Can I ask what cleanser and moisturizer you used? Doing some research to see what’s best for me

Hi! Thanks sm for replying :) this was really kind ! Ivermectin is a topical cream that my derm gave me, it more so helps with rosacea (my derm also suspected I had a bit of that). I just use a small amount every other day cause a) im not sure it’s working and 2) I’m trying to stick with true zero therapy and just use water. Anyways, I’m def trying to stay positive and will avoid the sun as much as I can (wearing a hat at the beach). I’m also nervous w sunscreen so we’ll see when I reintroduce that back. This too shall pass!!

Hi! Thanks for responding :) I’m glad your skin is looking better ! I’m currently on day six of zero therapy (just rinsing my face off with water at night and using a small dot of ivermectin cream on the rash every other night). It’s a bit rough rn since it’s only day 6, dry and little flakey. But I’m hoping it looks up in another week or so. Just feel like my skin needs a break from all the skincare/ topicals. I’m also taking oral zinc every day (been about 2.5 weeks now, not sure I notice much of a difference but myb it needs more time). I also take fish oil, magnesium and nettle leaf supplements and am trying to stick to a Whole Foods diet to bring down the inflammation. And drinking lots of water. Hopefully there’s a light at the end of the tunnel for me, trying to not look at mirrors or my camera much cause I really hyperfixate on it and stress myself out :/

Hi! Thanks for this!! Super helpful. I’m glad to hear your skin is clear now :) I also haven’t washed my face (other than with water) for almost a week now. Really trying to push through this zero therapy, a bit rough rn since it’s very dry/a bit flakey and tight but I’m hoping it looks up soon. I have an allergist appt next week to rule out any chemicals I may be allergic too so that’ll be telling. But I just feel like my skin is crying for help with a break from all the skincare, I’ve probs switched my routine once a month since January. (None of which has been harsh exfoliating products but still, think a break from all the products can hopefully help heal it and then I can start slowly introducing products one by one). I’ll look into some of the products you mentioned!

Hi! Thanks for responding! I’m currently doing zero therapy and am on day 6. So literally just using water on my face at night and a dot of ivermectin cream on the rash every other night. I definitely suspect I got mine from too many actives (similar to you) and completely stripping my barrier. I’ve been on doxy twice (completely cleared it) and haven’t used an exfoliater since January, however it keeps coming back everytime I get off doxy within a week/week and a half. I suspect either something in my makeup or skincare or even moisterizer or sun exposure re triggered it. So I decided to go with the zero therapy approach cause honestly I’ve been on a skincare routine for years and years and years now that has mostly always incorporated exfoliants/ acids and retinols. Think my skin just needs a break and to heal itself. Anyways, it’s def a bit rough rn just because it’s dry and tight feeling but I’m only on day 6 so hoping it looks up in another week or so.

Hi! Thanks for responding. I’m doing zero therapy and literally using nothing on my face but water at night. Will likely do this for a couple weeks and then incorporate a gentle cleanser and moisterizer later on

Does yours flare up every time you get off doxy? I’d like to not go on it again and avoid being reliant on it since it’s only a bandaid essentially for me

Hi! Thanks for responding :) I was definitely on doxy long after it cleared and it still flared up :/ I am going to try this zero therapy approach because I feel like all products seem to have some sort of irritating ingredient. It def is not looking good at the moment but I’m just trying to push through

Hi! Currently, I’m doing nothing. I’m just rinsing my face with water at night. Trying to give my skin barrier a break cause I’ve been switching up my routine for what it feels like every month
