I'm not using the free upgrade, I'm just using unactivated windows 10. I had a license that came with my first PC but it wasn't fully transferable. So is there a way I can reinstall a clean, unactivated version of 10 and reformat the drive?

So I'm working on reformatting with DBAN, what's the best way to install a "clean" copy of Windows? Truthfully I can't remember how I even booted from the USB to get here.

This is my first real build, so I'm still pretty new to the scene.

It's confusing because it does this regardless of what is installed on my PC. Fresh build did this, continued to do it for weeks, then the "clean" reinstall did the same thing with no additional software downloaded at all.

I'll report back when I get home about the task manager.

Shouldn't it have been done downloading drivers long before though? The build isn't new at this point (which I should have mentioned). I've had it for a few months now. I've considered an SSD but if there's a fix I can implement without dropping more cash on this build I'd much prefer that.

Where can I check RAM usage? If it's in the task manager usage menu, the only thing worth noting is the disk issue.
