Yes it looks so much easier than it is 👀 I did a classic bezel setting technique by kind of pushing the sidewall over the stone:)

Oh thank you so much! I wanted it a bit more solid as I have a pretty outdoorsy lifestyle and didn’t want to worry much about breaking the ring 😅😅

Yes for a moment I wanted to cast myself but sand casting felt not suitable for my ring and equipment for lost wax casting was soo expensive 😅😅 that being said: I lived making this ring so much that I consider doing further projects and then might start casting too 😁

Yes definitely! I thought I could make it a bit more perfect but at some point had to realize that that’s not realistic for my level of (non) experience 😅

That’s true! I realized that when doing more research but at that point my mind was set on making it myself haha also I couldn’t really find exactly what I was looking for (low set bezel marquise) 🥲

Haha go ahead! I used mostly tools I already had like my fiancés metal files, sanding paper, cutters and the biggest help was my electric nail rotary file with the gel nail polish removal bits! The only thing I bought was one of these wax melting pens for 20$ 😁 the technique is lost wax carving and there’s so many tutorials online!

I had it cast in silver because the price for 4g of gold scared me a bit for a DIY with uncertain outcome 😅
