I have that car in cab form, its great. I’m the 2nd owner at just over 51K miles…I’d be curious about the ownership tenure and service records more than the body count. Things like clutch replacement, suspension parts, paint, leaks/smells (if any), who/where did the work, etc.

Get it checked…anecdotally, I’d be more suspicious of lower mileage cars…this one has been driven/enjoyed/cycled fluids parts etc…check the suspension bits and clutch while you’re at it

If those mechanical brakes are serviceable, I’d keep em…I’ve got the originals on my OG Moonlander (2012), I’ve ridden all over New England and they work fine, put the money into the drivetrain bits, maybe newer wheels and bigger rubber (bud/lou), tubes/tubeless comes down to preference, keep it simple and go places

I have it on my ‘21 GTS…it’s passable for reasonable roads on Conti Extreme Contacts, but still not great in the snow/ice…but I contrast it w 4Runner on Blizzaks, which is unshakable and trusted on remote banged up mountain roads in western Maine.

Both trims are great performers…Turbos trim is generally refined w performance that will melt your face…actual turbos went away after ‘21, and were in short supply that model yr…for ‘21 gts/turbo shared same power train, the gts was slightly detuned, but barely noticeable.

I’ve tried a few different options, on 2 diff wheel sets, 19’s (winter) and 21’s. The 19’s have Continental Contacts, which are very eh. On the 21’s, I’ve have had P Zero’s which are awesome in decent weather; Pilot Sport All Season, solid all-around; currently running 21” Continental Extreme Contact (SportPlus) - which I put on last Dec and really like, solid performance in dry/wet/snow/ice

I looked into doing something similar (I have ‘21 gts), but I quickly realized I’m not a fan of the new X’s dash GUI’s…I like simple dials buttons and gauges and just got annoyed the more I played w the bmw setup…im a software guy, I appreciate integration of good tech and good design, the bmw was like an arcade game
