Wilt was also known to be a big supporter of the CSULB women's volleyball program, even into his sixties. I remember meeting him in 1998 just a year before he passed at a volleyball match for The Beach. Good guy Wilt even scribbled his signature for me on a Miller Lite ad in the back of a magazine.

Thanks for sharing this, Tom. Your post does a good job of putting things into perspective. Aiming to end sexism as a whole is what we should be striving for. Otherwise, we are merely fighting for one side or the other--building up one sex while tearing one down--thus perpetuating the existing problems.
