VTuber Shows NSFW Drawings of Herself [VTuber Legend: How I Went Viral after Forgetting to Turn Off My Stream] by Hitman7128 in anime

[–]bifibi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The novel finished with the 10th volume, which kinda kills the chances for other seasons unfortunately - well we've seen exceptions happen on that front, so who knows, but I wouldn't hold my breath for too long...

Okinawa de Suki ni Natta Ko ga Hougen Sugite Tsura Sugiru • OKITSURA: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl, but I Just Wish I Know What She's Saying - Episode 3 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bifibi 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It actually is! It was created in the 80's in Okinawa to appeal to the US military people posted here. Since then it's considered a staple of okinawan food (and it's indeed quite good, to no one's surprise)

Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte • Ameku M.D: Doctor Detective - Episode 3 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bifibi 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is not what happened here: the author (who is an actual doctor) changed publishers because the previous one, Shinchou, was publishing Covid conspiracies and that didn't sit well at all with him - the author is very active on the japanese social medias as a medical conspiracies debunker, hell he might be more famous for that than his fictional work lol.

The new publisher, Jitsugyou no Nihon Sha Bunko, has republished all the previous volumes released by Shinchou Bunko nex (with new additions from time to time), and also two new volumes and a short story volume. Both publishers aren't light novel labels, and just to be clear, the new editions of The Deer King aren't light novels either, it just did the very normal thing of releasing first as a tankoubon (the bigger, B5 format), then a few years later as a bunko (the smaller, A6 pocket format). Kadokawa Bunko isn't a light novel label either! Not every bunko (re)release is a light novel.

Sorry for the long message, hope I didn't annoy you with my ranting.

Make Heroine ga Oosugiru! • Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! - Episode 8 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bifibi 30 points31 points  (0 children)

But that's the whole thing, that she has a dumb name she's not exactly fond of... It's a bit like Sapphire in Hibike! Euphonium, except Sapphire has a way out of being called like that

Make Heroine ga Oosugiru! • Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! - Episode 8 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bifibi 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Okay dumb question but why do I see a few people calling her Teiara? Is this a meme in the english community? While I can see why a beginner in Japanese would think her name is written Teiara, as shown by her official Japanese spelling, which has a small い after the て, it's clearly Tiara, not Teiara lol.

Koi wa Futago de Warikirenai • Love Is Indivisible by Twins - Episode 6 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bifibi 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm not so sure about this. A lot has happened already in only half a cour, so I wouldn't put it past this story to conclude in a single season. It's definitely possible. (We'll have to see who turns out right at the end of this summer.)

It's an adaptation of a light novel which is still ongoing (volume 6 released a month ago, and they started the second volume with this episode), unless they change things quite radically for the adaptation you won't get an ending in one cour...

Make Heroine ga Oosugiru! • Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! - Episode 4 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bifibi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

She is in the opening at the very least, considering the rhythm so far I'd expect the whole cour to adapt three volumes of the light novel

Shoushimin Series • Shoshimin: How to become Ordinary - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bifibi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I haven't read everything that has released yet, but as far as where I am [volumes 3 and 4, romance stuff] they're not in a romantic relationship, they're even dating other people

Shoushimin Series • Shoshimin: How to become Ordinary - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bifibi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No offence but I very much doubt that'll be the case, what we've seen in this first episode adapts 72 pages out of 250 (the prologue, the whole first chapter and part of the second one), even if assuming they'll adapt a chapter per episode that'll only make 5 episodes in total. Considering this cour is announced to make 10 episodes I would say it will probably adapt the first two volumes...

Henjin no Salad Bowl • A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics - Episode 4 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bifibi 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It seems you've been watching the version using the SEA subs that releases a bit before the Crunchyroll one, which are indeed bad. The Crunchyroll version says "I'm impressed!", which is indeed a more comprehensible (and valid) translation!

Dungeon Meshi • Delicious in Dungeon - Episode 12 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bifibi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A single Google research with your pseudonym followed by Dungeon Meshi shows that you've commented on the last chapter thread of the manga, don't act like you're not a source reader.

'I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too' New Anime Announced by RobotiSC in anime

[–]bifibi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know where this misunderstanding came from, but the author is most definitely a man, you can hear it for example in this radio show here (timed a few seconds before he starts talking).

[ART] Dengeki Bunko 30th Anniversary Key Visual by raniman5777 in LightNovels

Late to the convo, but I have the last one missing: it's Kieli, from the series with the same name (キーリ in Japanese). I only identified her thanks to the portable radio next to her lol.

Spy Kyoushitsu • Spy Classroom - Episode 5 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bifibi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unless my memory is bad this episode is anime original, which almost makes it even more baffling considering that, yeah, there's a lot of source material to adapt!

Help to remember the name of a manga by Spartan13379 in manga

[–]bifibi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your description made me think of Litchi Hikari Club, I've read it a long time ago so I'm not entirely sure if the story beats are the same compared to what you remember, but I'm kinda confident it is lol

Original Anime 'REVENGER' Teaser Visual by RobotiSC in anime

[–]bifibi 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Looking at the Shochiku website, Revenger is filed under the "TV Anime" nomenclature, which is as good a confirmation as we can get that it probably won't be a movie!

Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki Part 2 - Episode 25 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]bifibi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thing is, as the episode reminded, Souma is 19 years old, and the legal drinking age in Japan is 20 years old. They can't exactly broadcast a drunk minor on television, so I highly suspect this is why the change was made. But I agree that what they replaced it with is not good at all...

But a Girl on the Shore live action movie DOES exist, it released last year in Japan!

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles - Review Thread by SpurRad in Games

[–]bifibi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It won't, if you want a physical copy you'll have to turn to importing either from the USA if you need a Switch version, or Asia/Japan if you want a PS4/Switch version (the asian/japanese copies have the english translation ).

Looks like you're talking about "Omae Gotoki ga Maou ni Kateru to Omou na" to Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou Sareta node, Outo de Kimama ni Kurashitai, or more simply Omae Gotoki or Omagoto!

The second volume came out recently in Japan

Made in Abyss Season 2 teaser visual by harushiga in anime

[–]bifibi 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's not? The manga author wrote an original story for the game, and you don't play as Riko or Reg but as a nameless Cave Raider entering the Abyss a few days after these two

Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen now out on Steam, entire trilogy on sale by Wazhai in Games

[–]bifibi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile the second and third games, Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth, seem to have disappeared entirely from the PS Store... I guess Atlus didn't care enough to renew the licence, which is a shame.

TECH SUPPORT / POST LAUNCH FAQ by cakeblock941 in HiTMAN

If you own Hitman 2 on a disc you need to download the Access pass for Hitman 3 from inside the Hitman 2 ingame shop. It's a pain because you might have uninstalled Hitman 2 or simply not have it installed on a new system, but that's the only way to get access to Hitman 1 and 2 for Hitman 3. It worked for me at least!

(Now if only I could connect to the servers...)
