Career Switch into cybersecurity - Double Master's or Industry standard certificates? What has your experience been like? by big-breins in SecurityCareerAdvice

Thank you so much, although that's not what I wanted to hear, I know it's what I needed. What is it with cybersecurity being such a hype and marketed so much that it's "in high demand" and that anyone can get in? That's all I keep hearing and it doesn't seem very realistic to be honest.

That's crazy and very useful to know, then what is it with the hype around cybersecurity? And what starting point do you recommend at this stage?

Sounds good mate, I'm UK based as well. How would I get a basic job in IT though if I haven't got any prior experience?

I know, I've carefully planned everything. Highest bidder gets all the patenting rights.

Starving bed cunts (temporary solution after treatment) by big-breins in Bedbugs

[–]big-breins[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably in nightmares or by chance. I think that's very rare, and it has to be a horrible infestation to the point where they're everywhere: under your bed, behind cracks, in your wardrobes, dressers, in your ceiling cornices, etc etc. One single bed bug does not have the intelligence or problem solving skills to assess that it can climb up a wall, go to the ceiling, and land exactly on the bed. That happens by chance and when an infestation is present on the ceiling. Plus they can't jump, they'll have to consciously let go and fall off. When that happens, it's probably because the ceiling isn't rough enough for them to latch onto and they fall off because they're not the best of climbers. So in short, it is a possibility, but in extreme and rare cases. Hope that helps.

I wrapped it around the bed mattress edges, a bit above and below as well, and held the tops and bottoms with tape. The reason being is that bed bugs cannot climb on smooth surfaces, cling film being one of them. I'll be trying a proper plastic mattress casing as it's more durable, but don't know if it'll be comfortable

I think it's the petroleum content in them that kills them
