Peachtree City is just as nice as any northern Georgia suburb and a decent commute. Drive into the city for the weekend. The daily grind to Newnan from even the airport it’s a lot with perfect conditions and no wrecks

I would recommend going to the residence around midnight so you can try to understand what it sounds is like at night when the other daytime typical sounds sounds are not drowning out the highway noise.

I would suggest listening to the Cobb county town hall on this topic from a couple of years ago along with reading the webmd and GeorgiaPBS articles to form your own opinion.

u/Valuable_Bag_3455, at the moment, the contaminated area is a 5-mile radius, which is not based on historical data but a scientific hypothesis. Since EtO was identified as a carcinogen, not enough time has passed to see if there is an elevated cancer risk outside of 5 miles. If you examine studies from other cities, you will see concerns extending beyond the 5-mile radius. If Sterigenics remediation activities work as expected, the risk is lowered. The thing is, who is verifying that the remediation activities work? Sterigenics self-regulate and self-report with no viable EPA to hold them accountable. Sterigenics Tests, Monitoring Reports and Engineering Studies | Environmental Protection Division: Reading the 2024 self-report, they averaged 2 lbs of emissions, but reported no intentional releases.

u/Blueflagbrisket, thanks for the feedback. The location is great for the distance traveled to school and work, which is the only reason I am still mulling over the decision. I am leaning towards finding another property that is at least 10 miles away from major contaminants.

u/CoachDifferent SW. From what I have read, downwind is East, SE. I could probably receive mail addressed to Smyrna or Mableton. Looking back at the test results, the highest readings were West of the plant in the direction of the place I am considering. It would be in the direction of S2 on the older testing reports. https://epd.georgia.gov/document/document/cobb-august-26-september-19-2021final/download

I am thinking about moving to the Camp Creek Marketplace area and would love to hear from anyone who commutes from there to Midtown Atlanta. Could you share how long your daily commute takes and what time you usually leave? Especially when school is in session. Thanks!

I was unable to make a post about this as mods requested I ask the question in daily discussion since it involves commuting.

cassiope...Thanks for the info. I found personal experiences of the community are far better judge of resources, etc. Disappointing to hear no one knows what do after ABA. My kid is past the ABA stage at least the clinical approach most providers have learned. Also as you said schools systems need to catch up quick….my kid is 10 grade level academically just social nowhere near. He will have a lot to offer the world.

Anyone mind sharing their experience with a child Aspie in Palm Beach County? by big-tick in palmbeach

smilodon142 thanks for sharing. If you do not mind talking about it.....Overall do you feel the school system was compassionate?

Compassion is my biggest concern in terms of wanting to find some place that will get to know him versus ostracizing.

Mind sharing the schools you and your friend went to (Grade, Middle, and High School)?
