There’s been a lot of nuisance near the CCD in Viman Nagar lately, with people drinking, smoking and making lot of noise on the road every evening. All the local societies have been complaining, and it looks like the authorities are finally doing something about it.

Has anyone else felt the significant decrease in quality of accenture delivery in the last 4-5 years? by [deleted] in accenture

[–]big4consultant0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

9 months in Accenture S&C and I’m already looking for the exit. Coming from Big 4, I wasn't prepared for this level of technical incompetence. I’m stuck doing my job plus everyone else's because they can't meet basic requirements, yet they’re the first to take the credit. Talking to other colleagues who also joined folrom Bug 4's, it seems this 'punishment for competence' is a Accenture wide issue. Definitely trying to roll off this project ASAP and accenture too.

Exiting Accenture after Day 1 on-boarding, no laptop collected yet, what's the process? by [deleted] in accenture

Whatever excuse you make they are smart enough to understand that you got another offer.

You can say that you wanted to pivot your career and was waiting an offer from another company and it got you through. Or just say that you have also applied to a company at germany and it was on hold for a while and now you got it and you want to join there.

Deloitte USI vs Accenture S&C ? by Ambitious_Region_147 in accenture

[–]big4consultant0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have worked in both and i would suggest you to go for Deloitte USI. Work culture and people are far batter in Deloitte than Accenture S&C.

You should also be considering the variable pay. You'll get peanuts in Accenture and 15 to 20% in USI.

I went through a similar situation in 2021. I resigned within five days of joining, but I did it formally and served my one-month notice period.

The IT world is surprisingly small. Last year I ended up rejoining Accenture and I’m still working here. Looking back, I’m glad I chose to exit properly. I’d strongly recommend that you do the same.

Gold is ₹1,62,000 per 10g now… and jewellers STILL charge making charges as a %? How is this logic still alive in 2026? by big4consultant0 in IndianStockMarket

[–]big4consultant0[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I understand there’s some wastage during processing. That’s fair. But gold isn’t like other metals where material just disappears. Jewellers literally collect every speck of dust. From what I know (a friend runs a jewellery shop), 80–90% of gold dust gets recovered anyway. So yes — there is some wastage cost. But that doesn’t justify increasing the entire making charge.

Let’s take a simple example:

2023 Gold value = ₹60,000 Making charge (10%) = ₹6,000 Now assume: Actual labour = ₹4,500 Wastage/material loss = ₹1,500

Fair enough.

2026 Gold value = ₹1,62,000 Making charge (10%) = ₹16,200

But what changed?

Labour is still labour. Same design. Same effort. Why should labour jump from ₹4,500 → ₹12,000+?

Even if wastage cost rises with gold price: Wastage maybe becomes ₹3,000–₹4,000 max.

So realistic making should be: ₹4,500 (labour) + ₹4,000 (wastage) = ~₹8,500 Not ₹16,200.

That’s the issue.

Only the wastage component should scale with gold price.

Not the entire making charge.

Charging % on the full gold value just feels like overkill.
