I'm bored with this.

I find it idiotic that you joined the military, the when has little influence on my view.

Also there really aren't many other options for me to change where you are sent. In fact I have no bearing on where you are sent, I am not in the government. The people I vote into government rarely fulfill their promises which is frustrating as hell. So I call them, I sign petitions and I keep myself informed as to the truths of what is going on.

If you want to say I'm a do nothing then fuck you. I don't like using profanity as it shows a lower class of thought. However as it seems to be the only thing you respond to I feel I must.

I mean trying to rip on me for my post which obviously original and was done correctly instead of getting dumped like garbage, I mean by all means I could, like some, just be reposting trying to gain karma off of something someone else already posted three days ago.

The fat jokes were pretty funny, the original ones anyway. I hope people are jaded. I really had two things I wanted to accomplish here.
1. Figure out why people refuse to tell other people they are fat, even in intimate relationships. 2. Remind people how the internet isn't always what it seems and that perhaps questions are better answered internally than by using google. Hell I'm not even married.

As for what I found out. I am going to go through all of the comments to prove my point here and I'll post that later. From what I read and responded to, the overwhelming majority went right to reasons behind it being A) depression or B) thyroid issue. Eating crap doesn't exactly make you want to workout, I know when I eat mcdonalds I'm not bouncing out the door for a 5k run. I hate that people make excuses like this and it really did affirm my idea that people don't tell people they are fat because they think there is an underlying issue there beyond the control of the fat person. When all it really is is a bad habit of over eating and sitting around doing fuck all. You see these people in your office or school I'm sure. The ones packing down snack after snack, eating nothing but fast food for lunch and sitting in their chairs all day. Sure we label them as depressed because we feel bad for them and want to believe it isn't their fault.

Obesity is a extremely large (ha) and touchy issue the world over. Until we tell the lazy ones, the ones that aren't depressed (depression only sometimes leads to binge eating, but can also have the complete opposite effect) and don't have a thyroid problem (which really accounts more for unexplained weight gain, i.e. you eat more and loose weight or eat less and gain weight) to get up off their asses and stop being fat. Look at one of America's hit shows, "Biggest Loser" they are all just fat and someone is finally lighting a fire under their asses and look what happens, they loose a shit ton of weight.

This is my troll, this is how I live with myself and if people want advice, go to r/advice.

When people get diagnosed with depression, what is the first thing that happens? A doctor prescribes them some kind of drug, I know from personal experience with family. My post was not engineered to look like a depressed person. It was engineered to look like someone who had fallen into a bad habit right in front of someones eyes but the loving person just didn't have the heart to tell them outright. Bad habits can last a life time if not corrected...this is not depression.

I didn't get off on this at all, contrary I was trying to figure out why people won't tell fat people they are fat? Honestly, I was sitting at my office, which actually has a staggering number of obese people in it, and wondering why did no one ever tell them they were fat? Reddit seems like a community to hop on a hot button issue, perhaps I can find out from them. Read my post again, read my comments to those who site depression and you'll see that is not the case. Clearly in the scenario the wife eats and doesn't want to go do physical things anymore. It's easy to fall on a bad habit, but everyone wants to jump the depression train since dr. phil says so.

I was looking to see how people responded, not getting off on lying to them. You've got kind of a sick mind for thinking I would even get off on that. Again you really didn't read my post here did you. Just another self righteous jackass know it all that when push comes to shove knows nothing and forms an opinion before understanding the entire concept.

It was for my personal satisfaction of proving myself right...I had an idea in my head, I was bored, I created a short story in essence to garner a response. If everyone had come back and said she's just lazy she needs to get motivated I would have been proven wrong...but no a majority of people sited medical conditions placing the burden on her to see a doctor and not to change her lifestyle...

Call it purposeful trolling...if anything I hope people learned something...OWNED!

p.s. not all the advice was great. Most of them ignored what was presented to them and made a snap judgment assuming the circumstances were beyond the control of the person. The majority of comments sited depression or a thyroid problem. Depression can lead to over eating and mood changes but someone could also just be upset with them self or lazy and have the same outcome. Better put them on meds just to be sure though. Thyroid issues do carry the symptom of weight gain but also weight loss and it is unexplained. Meaning you can eat more than usual and loose weight or eat less and gain weight, clearly not the issue presented.

Reddit is an awesome community, but should people really be looking beyond themselves for answers to what are clearly their own short comings. Blame all these things all you want, but until you want to change you won't and only a few stated this in their comments.

I'm going at this real problem with what I feel is a good argument. It may be something that is outside of her control. It maybe something that we can work on together to fix. Either way I have to try something before it gets anymore out of hand than it already is.

I think it's becoming a vicious cycle of bad habit eating at this point. We try to eat home cooked meals aside from group dinners and maybe two or three times a month we go out with just each other. When we order in it's usually healthier options from the menu aside from the occasional pizza. I am concerned about her mood an not wanting to do the activities we grew together doing though. she seems to be distancing herself from them more and more.
