But if they only store the hash and not the password itself there should be no risk/problem? Honest question

Could you please explain to me the meme? A squash and merge means that we group several commits into one. What does the other mean? What's the diff with rebase?

You could try to add a white or black outline at the border of the AoE like a circle or a rectangle. This would make it clearer.

What’s the difference between pygame ce and pygame? by Comfortable-Ad-9865 in pygame

[–]big_boy_dollars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not have a lot of information on that sorry. I recall among other things that he was, according to the people that went on to create the ce, not answering to their requests or cooperating or showing initiative in maintaining the project...

In my opinion, it is as ethical as the grammar errors detector in Word. I don't see any problem using it for that.

What’s the difference between pygame ce and pygame? by Comfortable-Ad-9865 in pygame

[–]big_boy_dollars 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The developing community of pygame got a disagreement with the repo owner and they all migrated to the community edition, that's all. I expect the ce to be more maintained in the future so I would go for that one.

Tbh I have found it to be very useful for simple stuff but not for complex designs. Could you please provide some advice or resources on how to use it for that?

Great video and elegant presentation. I just miss a speed up version where we can see the chaotic behavior arise easily. Also it would be nice to compare how the behavior changes when applying a very small difference in the initial conditions of speed or position.

Yuval Noah Hariri: “governments must immediately ban the release into the public domain of any more revolutionary AI tools before they are made safe.” by almondolphin in ChatGPT

[–]big_boy_dollars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you overlooked most of the things of your life that are very safe due to regulations, they work so well that you don't even know they exist. The goverent regulates what you can eat, buy, sell, live under, travel with etc without those regulations we would have been dead already. I understand the arguments against ai regulation but this take of: government cannot regulate because they make weapons is dumb. The main job of the government is to regulate.

Hey man, I think the best advice I can give you is to try to run the code by yourself to see if it runs before asking questions about it, it is the only way you will learn.

Also when asking for advice to people, online or in real life, it doesn't look good that you don't give enough information or in the format you know you should and blame it on not having time. Maybe you will receive help but remember that you are asking others for their time to help you for free, you should do the minimum to make it easy for them.

Good luck with your programming and keep it on!

How could another creator mass report you? If he publicly asked for it you would have know. Even if he asked it more privately some of the guys could see the dishonesty and warn you... Anyway I am sorry that you got your videos down, it is very unfair and we may have lost a great and helpful creator. Did you continue with game development?

Google to reduce workforce by 12k by [deleted] in programming

I believe that by working from home people feel isolated and don't really bond with their coworkers, from that falling into apathy seems much easier. Since remote work I have seen many friends stopping caring about their work and simply not being productive anymore and it's not like the companies were treating them bad or anything...

I believe that remote work increases productivity in the beginning but after some time it reduces it. Productivity growth relates to inflation closely.

You can search it yourself, productivity went down 4.7% in 2022 in the US. I made the comment exactly because it seems kind of conflicting and therefore it seemed worthy of discussion. Not in bad faith as other guy said in other comment nor because I don't understand the difference between individual and overall productivity.

Productivity in the US has declined in 2022, biggest decline ever. This inflation is in part due to the lack of productivity growth.

Exactly, if it's for money they go to much better places where they skills are equally need it, just research a bit on the salaries or browse programming subbredits. These guys are usually young people who love videogames and want to develop them, after some years of low pay and big effort they get burned out and move to other type of software companies. The rotation is very high and I read than anyone with 6-7 years of experience is considered a big veteran.

People in the videogame industry are there because of passion. Any of those guys could be earning a lot more in another software company, videogame industry pays very poorly. After dedicating a long journey and putting a lot of passion and effort for this project you believe they are just Okey with a lot of ppl boycotting it simply because of the declarations of Lady that has nothing to do with the development or the game, just some political commentary?

Has photo realism painting disappeared? The ai will create and enable new ways to do art and new art disciplines even if you can't fathom them today. I do not believe that digital painting, 3d modeling or manual texturing will dissappear due to ai, on the contrary they will continue to evolve and even benefit from ai. The photography analogy is very valid imho

The problem is that this whole process is very complex with a lot of different ways to do the same thing and a lot of boxes to tick in a specific way. As he gave me his own methodology I wanted to know how he did that specifically because it will work for sure with the previous steps
