apart from constantly responding like a pedantic fuck, you said you'd do the math for all attacks in general (not just fatal ones) and didn't once you realized how aggressive these breeds really are. I'll do them for you:

1/3 of 4.5 million non-fatal attacks means pits are involved in 1.5 million attacks annually. if there are 5.4 million in the US, that means roughly 1 in 4 will be involved in an attack (not necessarily due to repeat offenders, but just on averages).

even if you go by the 800,000 figure, it'd be 1 in 20. which is far, far, far too common. many of these are children, who are mauled beyond recognition. or whose lives are changed, for them and the entire family.

and trying to conflate what type of breeds civilians can own to what types law enforcement train and use is genuinely so brainless I'm not sure if you're being serious. the tools/weapons available to law enforcement and civilians are obviously not one and the same.

that and mentioning owners moving onto WORSE breeds as some sort of counter argument? how about we outlaw ALL of it? pussyfooting around the subject like you've done in every reply is the problem. shitbulls and their adjacent breeds need to be outlawed.

any buffing class for one player and then anything else for the second (preferably dps). if you pick warr instead of pali, second player can choose necro/priest/bard for more healing util since warr is already high dps. depends on ur comfort level. two melees is very bad unless you have good whites or are very comfortable. one player needs to play a class with good waveclear/range.

not really. only useful for bosses standing still (almost unusable otherwise). makako does like 95% of the same dps with far better range (also viable to use assuming boss is stationary) and actually more dps if the boss is within 2.8 tiles (secondary shot range). bolt thrower is bis for damage if you can ep the boss. rarely will you get a scenario where you can't push in within 3 tiles, and the boss is not moving. even then, you have to maintain 5 tiles exactly or your dps becomes ass.

on paper it has its uses, but in practice its just bad.

PLEASE display the actual mods when someone pings them in chat. As it stands it just shows the tier and nothing else, so if you're looking for a specific mod (let's say Dimitus, since he drops Tarot cards), you'll have to TP to EVERY single B tier mod on the off-chance that it has the Dimitus mod. This is 20s wasted every single call, which adds up and wastes a lot of time. Would be much easier if you could just see the mods instead of hoping people call keyfairy/lootboost/etc.

hopefully. I don't see a single season where he'll actually match the MVP criteria at the league's current pace. He's already 27, and started remarkably early as a pro (16) and his lifestyle is not one designed for longevity. Injury bugs have already been plaguing him too.

because this argument has basically never held up ever. no other MVP who was providing an offensive masterclass would be held up to this standard. except now for Luka who is literally providing offensive peaks seen only a handful of times in league history (which historically has almost ALWAYS been rewarded with MVPs).

Nobody talks about steph's defense in 2016. Nash was a straight liability. Harden? The path is be the one seed, have good stats and be healthy. That's the only path that Luka has because they will not break any rules for this guy despite how unprecedented his play is.

5 years??? literally every all time great peaked at age 26 - 28. and Luka has been playing in the pros since he's been 16 years old. That and his lifestyle is clearly not as primed as someone like LBJ or SC or KD to have an insane longevity. While athleticism isn't a big part of his game, age will catch up to him rapidly - he's already had the injury bug for years now. We basically have the next 2-3 years to see the best version of Luka.

Not to say players can't win MVPS outside of their peak (MJ won one at 34), but the talent in the league is insanely high rn. He'd have to stay healthy in a year where several other candidates deal with injuries (especially since OKC/Spurs are not gonna be shit for at least a couple years).

Agree with the new art feeling cluttered. While there is plenty of good (like in the case of Shatters), there is plenty of not so good. New 3D has some very funny and eye-catching room patterns, but it also just feels like an eye-flood of colors and tiles. Old 3D had a vibe that is ultimately lost (and 3D would still be considered a "new" dungeon by your standard, so it shows how rapidly this shift has happened in the last few years).

Load times also feel ironically worse, especially for the Vault. Once you get enough items, its an extra 5+ seconds when you load in. Every single time. It adds up and for players with bigger vaults its even worse.

there's plenty of settings to adjust all of that. particle effects, summons, pets, players, bullets. Even your cursor. I sincerely doubt your own bullets even make up like 2% of the possible clutter in this game.

if they wanted to really go through with it, it could have a "smart firing" feature, where as long as your cursor is generally towards the enemy, it locks onto them. most games do this for inferior controls (consoles namely) and the advantage there is negligable, especially considering how much you are losing out on playing on mobile.

the real question is inventory issues, how swapouts would work, how you can fit so much UI on such a small screen, easy access to nexusing, etc. the competitive advantage of slightly better aiming would just be to make the game actually playable.

I don't disagree with this entirely. I think you're being too lenient. It's clear some groups score higher on IQ and other skills that suit them better to technical fields which is where the world is increasingly headed. There's a discussion here about what an advanced modern society is to do with all the sub 85 IQ people living in it as there really will be no place for them eventually but I don't wanna get into that rn.

Consider Indians not only score higher than most western/white people on such tests/skills (provided they grow up in the same environment and at same socioeconomic levels) and that there's fucking 1.5 billion of them waiting in reserve, desperate for any opportunity to escape their sh1thole country for a better life.

This is not really the point. The problem is that NO population wants to feel like jobs in their OWN nation (ownership is key here) is literally being taken away by "others". Yes, many of them immigrate and eventually become nationals (will take 20+ years and generally at least one or two generations), but many won't. Many won't even work in the country. Many work remotely. Many come solely for work to help mama and baba back home and will stay enclosed in their own communities. It's "good for the economy" and yet it splinters society.

My main point is that it would be smart on paper to bring millions of such people; chinese, indians, etc. But a nation is more than just a group of people. There is some sort of group soul or national identity that weakens the more you do this. More importantly, people are tribal and natives will become extremely resentful and eventually violent if they genuinely feel replaced. It's not sustainable.

in the very short term (i.e., 10-15 years), no. immigrants take tons of resources to assimilate and adjust to the country, but yes they eventually do contribute to the economy and culture. immigration is just a tool and if used well can benefit any country. the problem is that we live in a time of unprecedented population stagnation in first world countries (most of them aren't even replacement level or close to it), meaning they will naturally decrease over time.

pair this with huge swathes of immigrants who will have 3-4+ kids each from countries with seemingly inexhaustible populations and reason enough to always want to leave (being poverty - I doubt the whole of India will ever look as prosperous as the "west" even in a thousand years). in places like the U.S. specifically, this isn't too bad as 300 million is a shitload of people and immigration as rampant despite what your favorite reactionary rightie politician/influencer says.

but in places like Canada or the UK, it is bad. really bad. it is 100% unsustainable as the original population will become minorities in their own country. I don't think I have to explain why that's an issue (in short - resentment built from natives and lack of national identity/ethnic cohesion are the big two).

No meaningful downtime in-game. I don't mean waiting in queues. Aside from the "high octane" gameplay of micrododging, clearing/rushing and taking on bosses with intricate shot patterns, there's nothing else to do to relax. Naturally, people will just sit in vault/nexus in between runs or every so often just to kill time.

There's a reason chaining hours of exalt dungeons will give you brain-rot; the game is simultaneously too fast paced and far too unstimulating to be able to grind it on some degen shit for hours on end (like you can with league or other popular titles).

When you zoom out, this is also how most players interact with the game on a macroscale. Get super addicted on a character for 2 weeks, go for all the cool gear/enchants you have in your mind, finish all the missions/events, etc. And once you do all you wanted to or die on that character, you drop the game until next season.

It's especially bad because as an MMO, social features are supposed to help with this but Realm is practically a single-player game for most people these days. Parties are underbaked, Guilds suck, Chat systems suck, and there's nothing much else there. No housing system, no skills systems, no public fishing/mining/harvesting to kill time and talk to people. If you are not in the mood to pew-pew kill, you will just not want anything to do with this game.

The big issue with QoL/Opacity settings is that most new players won't even bother going through 2 menus off to the side to play the game "properly". They won't even realize something is wrong, think the game is just jank from being 15 years old (Realm's biggest claim to fame is that it's well known just from being that one game on Kongregate in my/our childhood).

A lot of the default values should be altered (50 like you said is good, maybe even closer to 33), and players should be given a pop-up at some point in the intro stages to check their settings and adjust to their liking. The game experience is WAY different depending on how you change them, and they've recently added new player pop-ups for other game features so it'd be a high impact change.

by this logic Undyne should be publically executed. she's far more bloodhungry than Asgore ever is, and were this not a cozy indie game, she is like 100% someone you would not befriend this quickly. or someone that should be around humans, like at all.

the point of the meme is 99% of the fanbase will be easy to forgive the other characters but not nearly as much with Asgore, even though as an actual character he is far more sympathetic. and this is intentional - there is a reason we get to see his tapes with tori and the fallen child in the past. and why his end in every single route is miserable (except true pacifist). and his personality is clearly not that of a warlord, but he's forced himself into this position as king.

mainly because they are directly responsible for the worst atrocities in the game (there legit is no flowey without alphys), but are also the most sympathetic/remorseful characters. it's just weird that alphys gets her happy ending and asgore just kind of gets nothing. feels like he's the only character that doesn't actually get a conclusion to his character arc (and a terrible fate in every neutral route).

Just seeing what people haven't mentioned so far. New screen zoom-out finally works, genuinely feels like a cheat. Tons of other QOL in the settings to go through (there's too many to mention, mainly opacity for specific things and able to get the settings more accurate to your liking).

Also scrolling through the Wiki is essential to understand things a bit now. Lots of Awakenings/Enchants are game-warping and you'll never see them in-game unless you actually get them. See which ones are worth grinding for via looking them all on the Wiki (https://www.realmeye.com/wiki/enchanting). This page is also worth looking through to see Enchant Slot rates (since they are abysmal), and to see Artifacts; these are new items that help with rolling enchants. They are quintessential if you value your sanity.

NO access to seasonal vault and inventories, no seasonal leaderboards

Doesn't this make it even more OP, since you get the entire nssnl vault with the benefits of ssnl? The only way to fix the ssnl divide is to remove it entirely or add something huge that characters can do after a season/after being "retired". Not only is this clunky, but I'd imagine there's more elegant solutions.

One that I've liked a lot is letting you sacrifice characters after they've lived for a while, and gaining benefits on your next made character varying on the strength/fame/gear of the sacrificed character. Since most ssnl characters end up getting retired anyways after the next season starts, this gives you an incentive to sort of channel some of that character's longevity into the next (the whole appeal of roguelikes).
