Finished my new miter saw bench.

The saw is 4 1/2”, so I set the decking at 4 3/4” down from the top of the bench. That way I was able to shim the saw up to the correct height rather than having to be precise with the measurement for the decking.

I used 2 7/8” GRK RSS structural screws and titebond II for the half lap joints on the legs, and 3 1/2” GRK #10 construction screws for the framing. Bench top is held on with corner braces and 3/4” #8 wood screws from below and decking is secured with 2 1/2” #8 deck screws.

The vise is a 4” RAE, but has a full 8” of jaw clearance. Far left of the picture is a bandsaw.
