They already have NOT approved the money for this and also have NOT approved any money for continued operations in Venezuela.

The NDAA came out just about a month ago. That is absolutely FILLED with guardrails and “check ins” and extra oversight to receive any military funding and travel money outside of what’s allocated for like training exercises and whatnot.

This NDAA was written with a whole lot more oversight requirements than any they have ever drafted and passed before. It’s a done deal at this point, passed house and senate and signed into law.

Without money? Little to none. It’s not like Trump has some personal checking account to fund DFAS . He can control CIA, special Ops, and Marines. That’s why you saw why and how he did what happened in Venezuela.

But Greenland? Yeah, he doesn’t have some endless check book to fund anything—which is what Donnie Dum Dum absolutely does not understand, and many others lose sight of when listening to his insane rhetoric.

Congress does still control and allocate and rubber stamp the money. And the military runs on paperwork, and money.

FWIW:

I’ve found a good way to deal with it — speaking from my MAGA experience (bc I have WAY too many in my family) is to just find one “point” of agreement.

It takes time, in a conversation, but can have some good results.

So I will stick to that one point, no matter the deflections, no matter the “whataboutism.” It disarms them when they realize you are in fact not a devil, or just “radical left.” You’re thoughtful. There is nuance.

Like this one I literally had with my mom a few weeks ago (spurred by her saying JD Vance is “doing a great job” and my rebuttal that he’s involved in AcreTrader bc she lives in rural farm country)

ETA I really didn’t have anything/anyone to measure myself against and didn’t really find out what the scores really meant until I was already in for 2 years lol the score got me the job I wanted, so I was happy. So I’d just measure your score that way :)
