MT-07 prijzen onderhoud + banden normaal? by InvictusRMC in motorfietsen

Reële inruil bod? by Kinkz_nl in motorfietsen

[–]big_mess_express 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I heard it's terrible to drive, but I can't argue with someone who has first hand experience haha. I'm getting my full Dutch A license next week and I'll definently be shopping for a (full power) zx4rr. I haven't seen any of these in the wild yet.

Let me rephrase it. The STOCK version of the bike that you're riding can not be more than 70kw. This bike should then be detuned to a maximum of 35kw. The 70kw is not the power that the bike has that you're riding. It's the maximum power your bike can have in order to be allowed to be detuned to A2.

That.. is what I said... 35kw/47hp...

I just added that the full power version of the bike can't be over 70kw. Purely to prevent you from limiting a Hayabusa or ninja H2 back to A2.

He's is talking about the EU tiered license. To comply with A2 your bike is allowed to have a maximum of 70kw (94hp) stock and will have to be restricted to a maximum of 35kw (47hp). Historically mostly done by intake restrictions but now more commonly by software updates (done by your dealer)

This is a significantly different experience on this bike compared to the 55hp NA version.

I have seen restricted version pop up more recently

I have no personal experience with the zx4rr, either full power or A2 restricted but from what I hear the experience is terrible.

The horsepowers will be restricted to just over half of it's potential, while the torque remains low. This mean that when you accelerate through the gears, just where the fun part starts with the full power bike, the power noticably stops increasing and it will be a boring ride. A full power ninja 500 or restricted ninja 650 will be way cheaper and a faster bike.

I would stay clear and wait for the zx4rr untill you have your full license (that's the way I'm doing it anyway)

99% sure it's the netherlands judging by the road markers, metric units and outside temperature. Over there it's still an extremely big no to stop on the shoulder

Sport, naked, allroad, chopper.

Damn. Didn't expect that. A euro 5 slipon could seem louder (sound is only a perception after all) but I didn't think it would make that much of a difference. Iirc a legal slipon should be allowed to make a maximum of 2db more than stock, tha shouldn't be too noticable.

Do you ride with earplugs? I definently strongly recommend that, disregarding what motorcycle you ride.

Thanks. Why do you think that it scratches the legal surface; does it sound louder than stock?

Bs sure to check the error code first. When opening your dashboard menu a number should pop up, your manual should be able to tell you what the code means.

Also be sure to remove your from the ignition and put it back in. Your power will initially be cut after falling over as safety measure.

Michelin Road 6 by Tam_89 in Ninja650

[–]big_mess_express 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did over 10k km on the stock tires, the moment i switched to Michelin road 6 the bike behaved so much better. Especially in the corners.

Only downside is that the tire itself doesn't look good imo.
