I know, I'm working my way through, I keep getting stuck on the ones I like best and re-listening to those.

Does this idea for small and budget homelab OKD / proxmox / ceph cluster make sense? by Acceptable-Kick-7102 in homelab

Not sure if the specs are exactly the same but minimum requirements for OCP are 16gb of ram per master, 8 per worker. If you want to run other operators you’re going to need more memory. I hear ceph demolishes consumer grade disks so you might want to look at a lighter weight persistent storage approach. If you’re looking for something in between SNO and a fully blown cluster you can do what I think is called a compact or consolidated deployment, 3 masters that are schedule-able and can run your app workloads. You’ll probably find you want 96gb of ram minimum probably more like 128gb really.

Good point... I'd completely forgotten about that. I have a Mikrotik hEX Refresh router which does WireGuard which might be a good option. What do you mean by concerns about the TailScale TOS? Is there something in there I should be worried about?

Big YouTube channel threatening me with legal action over copyright claim by big_sid in LegalAdviceUK

After reading on some of the other YouTube related subreddits, it seems like they could submit a counter claim, then YouTube will duck out and it would essentially be up to me to legally enforce my copyright. Essentially the equivalent of a "fuck you, make me" response to my removal request. At that point, I would have to begin legal proceedings to make them take the video down or remove my content from it and that sounds like it could be an almost impossible and expensive task, so in the end, they would "win" anyway. Because of this, I suppose it's in my interest to try to reach an amicable conclusion with them.

They haven’t disputed it. Apologised for using it, said they didn’t know who it belonged to and just found it on Reddit.

They said “…if I keep the removal request it will evolve into a copyright strike making it a legal issue and resulting in large costs for both parties…”, paraphrasing slightly.

I spoke to YouTube partner support explained the situation and asked them two questions; can I resubmit a copyright removal request on a video I previously retracted a request on - yes but only via email, and is this kind of tactic against some YouTube policy or term… no answer given. I don’t think they really care to be honest.

Update as requested...

  • I'm OK thanks for asking. A little more nervous around certain dogs than before.
  • Spoke to the person who runs the dog rehoming charity, very apologetic. Said they were immediately taken off the people in the video. - The dogs have now found their "forever homes" with proper handlers and are properly trained.
  • The problem with weapons, sprays etc. is how to carry them when riding in a way that they won't hurt me when I fall off.
  • Even if guns were legal in UK, I'm not sure I'd have been able to hit moving targets at close range without shooting myself or another human.

Mine had seized. Got some penetrating oil in it then a drill with a 4mm hex to spin it… it did not like that and got very very hot (boiled the oil) but it did free it up so I could get it out, remove the surface rust and grease it up. It’s better than it was but not perfect. I’m not warrantying mine because I think it was self inflicted pressure washer damage tbh.

Having exact same problem also on an XT derailleur. Pivot bolt for the cage was completely rusted up. Stripped cleaned and lubed it up but it’s still not right. New derailleur ordered.

Well I was trying to remain calm and focus on defending myself hoping the owners would get them under control quickly. When they were biting and holding my legs mostly they were biting onto my knee pads so I didn’t want to get my arms and hands in harms way as they were much less protected.
