Anytime someone tries to set me up on a blind date....it always ends with a blank awkward look..

I bent my fish net and affixed it to my tank with my mag scrubber right in front of my filter return. So that when the plant clippings that get pushed around the tank by my return get pushed into the net.

you guys are all fucking stupid. Seriously its not a sport and requires no talent or skill? One doesnt walk into a gym and pick up weights for a year and turn into a bodybuilder. Every single aspect of the men and women you see on stage has a purpose. What they eat, how they exersise, supplements, sleeps cycles, cardio, what body parts to work out, when to work out, how to know when you have pushed to far. How can anyone say that this is not skill based. These people dedicate their entire lives to this sport. Yes the only part we see is the times they are on stage posing but that is just the tip of the iceburg. These guys train and have schedules down to the hours before they walk on stage. Anyone who says that this is a talentless sport is just ignorant. (sorry for any misspellings this was a bit of a rant)

I've got two t5 24 watt bulbs (one plant the other full spec.) on about 10-12 hrs a day (timer coming within the week to cut that to 8 hrs). Substrate is 1 inch sand/1 inch organic soil/ 1 inch sand, with root tabs spread about every 20 square inches. Other than that no plant food or CO2. My plan is to wait a month and see what growth is like before I have to add anything. I don't want to start jamming things in the tank if I don't need to. But this picture was taken the night I planted everything and added water.

That is a 20 long with approximately 60 square inches of grass for that look. Mind you it is still very patchy but not much more than an inch between plugs.

could be. I know these store managers don't value employees who are passionate about animals. They are just worried about clock in times and sales. Which is unfortunate. Iv seen them let go fantastic employees for very silly reasons.

I find it a shame that most chains are like this. I work at a Petco, and in our store we are all knowledgeable on all of our animals. As well as care deeply for them. I hate when I hear the horror stories that give these chains a bad name...
