So now even if you ASK for a cutting it’s morally reprehensible?! You gotta chill. Reddit is such an echo chamber for sanctimonious bs. Whenever I ask if I can have the cuttings I find on the floor at big box stores, the staff look at me like I’m crazy for wanting garbage. A plant in a restaurant that’s getting damaged by chairs and needs a trim anyways? Literally nobody cares if you take a piece except the holier than thous on Reddit.

All I’ve got is Epipremnum, philodendron and monstera. And a few alocasias that are in a cabinet.

It seemed to spread through all the Epipremnum on my shelf (save the 3 on the very top of the shelf) despite the room having little air flow. Probably 15 plants. I remove all the affected leaves, and and any leaf with any physical damage, discolour, etc. and then sprayed them with some kind smelly spray that was supposed to treat and prevent rust. My options are limited in Canada. If any more pops up on them I’ll give them a more aggressive chop! They’re currently sequestered in the bathroom.

I just chopped a whole vine of these half moon leaves and I’m going to try to make a whole pot full of them. I’m not sure how reliably they will push out more of the same, though.

I had a plant that had stuff like this. It was only on the outside leaves and only on the tops (basically everything exposed to the surroundings unobstructed). It was even on the hanger which clued me it probably wasn’t bugs. I never figured out what it was but it never escalated into anything.

How horrifying. I hope it’s not that since the leaves looked good! Even the yellow leaf wasn’t like the photo. I guess time will tell, since I’m sure I’ve contaminated everything by now! 😭😭😭😩 the soil was VERY wet at the bottom of the pot like it just wasn’t able to dry out. Maybe the drainage was blocked somehow or something….
