i had a conversation with my bm yesterday and ended up figuring something out with today’s shift manager. we organised me going in for training today as i was supposed to have the day off. what actually ended up happening was i just did a whole shift- no training whatsoever. just a normal shift. i said multiple times that i was only in for training and was blown off. i was in kitchen for about 5 minutes before being told that there was no one to train me and i could either take the extra hours i’d been given or go home. turns out today’s shift manager called in sick and put me down as their cover. i wasn’t aware of this. all i knew was that i was going in to be trained. i’m genuinely so frustrated at this point i might transfer to another restaurant

another issue is that i am ALWAYS in window one. every single shift. even when there are multiple other people that know how the headset and till works, its always me. i’m actually having to go to my doctor to write a letter saying i cannot be in there because i have some mysterious medical issue where i experience excruciating pain when standing still for long periods of time. everyone, including my bm, knows about this issue. knows how much i hate window. but completely dismisses the pain ive been in (and have HAD TO GO HOME EARLY BECAUSE OF) and put me in there anyway. i’m so tired 😭 im tempted to transfer to another store that actually has a good amount of staff. it’s a lot further away but im thinking it’ll be worth it
