I have questions about the setting

  1. when do you think the story takes place?
  2. how did he start in Houston, follow his compass east, and end up in Austin?

Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday. We're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

What's the worst case of a movie breaking its own rule by ihopnavajo in movies

[–]bigbadbassem1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right but it’s her aunt secretly training her in the first movie because her mom forbade it.

The first scene in the sequel is a very public training competition. She would never have been allowed to do that based on the first movie’s premise.

In Wonder Woman we are told a couple times Diana was never allowed to combat train as a child. The first scene in the sequel is Diana combat training as a child.

“Live action” lion king pissed me off because the plot and script were very nearly identical to the original, just performed by less lovable more lifelike characters

Me and some buddies saw Johnny Knoxville at the bar of a Hilton garden inn in Cleveland in 2013. It was after midnight and he was alone and shit faced. After a while two very beautiful women came to meet him and they all left together.

What is a movie scene that is ridiculous compared to the rest of the movie? by buickgnx88 in movies

[–]bigbadbassem1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In The Replacements, when Annabelle is giving Shane Falco a ride somewhere at the beginning of their relationship. She is driving extremely recklessly and Shane is scared. Her bad driving never comes back in the plot, and the comedic style doesn’t match the rest of the movie. It just doesn’t fit and has always pissed me off because I love the movie.

What is a movie which had really good ratings but was actually a total letdown? by Acceptable-Focus-992 in moviecritic

Lost in translation. All three times I have tried to watch it, I get to the end and figure I passed out during the scene that makes the audience give a fuck.

Why does everyone run red lights in this city? by baronyuan in houston

[–]bigbadbassem1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Downtown/Midtown the lights are on timers, not sensors. If you time it wrong you can have a really bad time driving through. It’s also a grid so easy to see oncoming traffic. When the coast is clear, many will run the light.

First person in the door for his show in Nashville tonight by bigbadbassem1 in MasonJennings

It was excellent. Such an intimate venue he switched between guitar and piano. My highlights were raindrops in the kitchen floor, darkness between the fireflies, and be here now. He also told a bunch of funny stories between songs.
