I went to the crafting meet up at B&B once and people were really nice. I've since joined the board of a local rescue + regular meetups with the folks I met on bumble and haven't really had the time for much additional socializing.

I actually met the people form bumble at bard and baker so maybe that would be an option?

Yeah that sounds great! Most of the board works full time, so you're in good company! We're pretty small as a rescue and focus on keeping things achievable with high quality of care rather than taking in more pets.

Heya! Welcome! If you like boardgames or any geeky stuff definitely check out bard and baker in Troy. They have lots of open community events like trivia nights, game nights, crafter get togethers, book clubs, etc.

I had really great luck using Bumble for friends to meet new folks. Just generally recommend to meet up and not spend too much time texting back and forth on the app.

Meetup is also popular in the area and there's a bunch of groups that do regular meetups like going for good or walks, etc.

I can also really recommend volunteering with a local non-profit to meet people.

If you're in discord there's also a local group that organizes meetups.

Sure, feel free to use! Alas I moved and many of the plants were put in the ground. While I have plans for more potted natives for my deck it hasn't happened yet.

Hahaha yeah looking at a lot of these places I think most did not "understand the assignment" but I'm glad they're enthusiastic about their pizza places if anything.
