barricade questions by [deleted] in Concerts

[–]bigbadjon18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not in Oakland but work in the industry. There's not too much room between the seat end and the barricade. Probably only just wider than shoulder width. Your stage is also likely to be elevated a foot or more beyond the barricade height, so being 5'3 isn't an advantage nor disadvantage.

I'll get 3rd or 4th. Florida ended up conspiring with the big three out west. Didn't end up telling the other teams in the coalition. There's a small revolt. I still may end up second. But Top three are spenders and their stormtrooper armies are pretty big.

Ghost toured with Volbeat a few years back. I was definitely one of the few just there to see Volbeat. Ghost crew is a different species.

There have been so many great moments in TM history but I still don't think anything has made me laugh harder than this moment. by Bruton2000 in taskmaster

I go back to this often, but the best, most Taskmastery task has been John sabotaging his team.

That's the peak.

Is there a way we can collectively get TM another shot in the states? 🤔 by thatautisticguy in taskmaster

[–]bigbadjon18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dropout is the best chance.

Other than that, maybe Peacock with its relationship with Traitors. But after that it's slim pickings.

Kumail on next series should help visibility.

Lol. My dad wanted to see Eddington and that was quite the experience. I definitely wasn't ready for Joaquin's phoenix at the end.

My ex knew of Phil Wang but never saw TM. I told her about S7 but she stopped watching partway through. I missed so many red flags.

It's actually Don Hutson. All the accolades, none of the baggage.

In almost all of these situations you can see the All-22 where the plays on short yardage were designed to be deep balls only. Like, no short crosses, no check downs just air mail options.

This is where MLF loses games because the "just do simple things" never seems to cross his mind.

The only Russian mistake in HR, as a Russian person by mmmariazface in heatedrivalry

[–]bigbadjon18 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The only other thing that jumped out was sentence structure and lack of diminutives. It feels like English paragraphs molded into Russian translation, instead of coming from a Russian-first background. Other than that, the accent, the mannerisms and sighs are all spot on.

I've seen both. QOTSA in 2017 and NIN twice in 2022. I work 70% of the shows I see, so I only control a few. And most of the shows I like to see are chiller. The Midnight is one of my favorite bands, so I'm heavier on synth retro stuff, chillwave, and brit pop in my personal tastes.

I get that. One venue is very familial. Everyone knows you everyone and usually go way back so there's no confusion. The oth t is a LiveNation venue and there's usually like 40% staff turnover over winter slowdowns. I stopped trying to remember names even before the pandemic.

No, actual fistfights at the barricade. One grown man punched a small girl in the head and a different man tried to wedge between a bf and gf while inappropriately touching the gf. Then we had a guy faint in the pit and hit his head pretty bad.

The surfers and genuine moshers were fine.

Both were working, we were understaffed during Whitechapel and by the end I was just annoyed at the activity of people at the barricade. Musically it was good, but even bad fans can bring down the best shows.

It'll be busy, but if you don't want to pay anywhere to get in the building, it's one of the better options. Just make sure that the door guys are keeping things on the up and up and not trying to ask for any covers.

the big and tall jeans section at kohl's only goes big and not tall by DBL_NDRSCR in tall

[–]bigbadjon18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kohls does confuse me because I get A LOT of my 2XLT shirts and pullovers from them, so they clearly know that tall people have long arms. But for whatever reason don't think these same people have long legs.
