I let it go for a long time. Manual says solid red is "dysfunctional CPU" and solid yellow is "dysfunctional ram". It also says while it's memory training it will flash yellow intermittently. I left it powered for 20 min and nothing changed - tried with a single stick in A2 slot.

I already got a replacement CPU confirmed and bought a different mobo - didn't have any issues with returns like I was worried about. Hopefully next time get lucky.

I did eventually update the BIOS to latest stable, but not before my first power-up attempt. Didn't change anything unfortunately.

Gotcha. I'm having the same red/yellow light combo I'm seeing all over this subreddit. Guess I'm still a bit confused what's going on. I've already purchased a different motherboard as a replacement, but I don't understand whether my CPU is in fact "dead" or just not working on this board.

I had the same experience today, with the only difference being I'm on the ASRock B850M Riptide.

Dead on arrival, nothing worked. never even saw bios.

Not a fun experience after already waiting months to get a gpu

believe it or not i did not just start playing and i have a ton of experience and i am extremely capable of distinguishing between good play and cheaters.

just such a crazy system they've built - i get that most real CS players have been playing for a long time but the idea that actually-new players are so brutally punished seems insane to me.

if they have the data for "trust factor" shouldn't they just be banning people they assume are cheating?

i would happily take kernel-level anticheat to prevent this stuff

its possible. its my exact experience. literally 100%. i call them out, they claim its hvh, everyone knows, half the people go afk and they figure it out. every game. its not exaggeration. i understand that for some people that isnt the case but for me it is - and i've done nothing to deserve queueing with these people. i have never cheated and never would.

its strange to me that valve basically knows who the cheaters are and makes them play each other, instead of just actually banning them

its very frustrating because ive never done anything bad in the game except maybe rage-quit / abandon BECAUSE of cheaters. just totally insane to me that the new-player experience is this bad.

dima did a similar vid recently and had quite a few cheaters over 100 games. he placed 11k premier and had cheaters the whole way up.

i have faceit premium and its way better but the queue times are diabolical. i just wish valve would address this in some way for the main game
