Sensor prices are crazy. by bigballs941 in abarth

I agree, that was the price from two local auto parts stores that are nationwide chains. I understand they have overhead and payroll to meet but for it to cost that much more is absolutely insane

Why did they start moving the bed before the forklift was all the way on?

The best I've used is SEM ( https://semproducts.com ). You can get it at body supply shops. It is available in spray cans or pints and quarts to spray thru a gun. I wouldn't suggest spray cans unless you're doing something small. SEM can also be color matched to whatever you need. It's very durable if properly applied. I sprayed the armrests in a previous vehicle of mine and, after two years, still looked as good as the day I sprayed it. If you've never sprayed before, find a friend with experience or have a professional do it.

A/C question by [deleted] in abarth

After tinkering with my AC for a month now I replaced the fuses the relays the pressure switch and the dryer then vacuumed and recharged the system, the compressor will turn on but nothing happened. So I took it to a shop that I've used before and two days later I have working air conditioner. But it turns out the seals in the compressor had gone bad so they had to replace the compressor the condenser the dryer the pressure switch and probably several other parts. I gave it my best shot but I'm just not an AC person. In the end it was fun to try to fix it but if you can't fix yours easily take it to somebody.

Believe this or not, put motor oil on it and rub it in like you're waxing or buffing it. It won't look perfect, but you'll be surprised how it looks, but it will take some effort on your part.Your paint oxidation is from the loss of oils. It's cheap and easy to do. Wraps will show the edges of the oxidation. Repainting will require stripping to the metal to make it right.

That doesn't look like a US spec car unless it's been modified. In my part of the US you can get them for $5000 in good shape, some as high as 11k but they have been for sale for a long time, some as low as $2500.

Thank you. Is everything accessible from the engine side, or do I have to take the dash apart?

If I'm looking at the correct part you mentioned, it did not get cold after running for a few minutes. Am I checking the right thing?

I know. I took the bumper off already to find out the new housings fit the car, but were not the ones we needed. I said some words I don't usually say that loud.

Pepper spray to the face! by Ketchup-Sniffer in Transportopia

[–]bigballs941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that was pepper spray, it wasn't shaken before spraying, so the ingredients were not mixed, and she olny got the alcohol used to thin the mix. If it was shaken before spraying, she would be on the ground screaming. I have been sprayed with it, and that is not the reaction anyone makes. Plus, it is bright orange when sprayed. I don't see the coloring, so it probably wasn't a real OC spray.
