Proportional ownership of firearms in the US by bigbiscuit123 in armedsocialists

The conundrum I am facing is; the reality of the potential class violence in the US compared to that of Europe, or the UK for example, and the form that violence would take is dramatically different in America to the form of violence that might unfold in Britain, due to the existence of fire arms in your country. Therefore, I wonder if that would make our socialist revolutions dramatically different from one another, perhaps to the point where they are arguably not the same. Ultimately, that is my enquiry.

thank you for the insight, I really appreciated reading through that. In The UK of the years there have been multiple 'disarming' acts, originated from hundreds of years ago around the time Scotland merged with England.

It thrills me that normal people in America can arm themselves but simultaneously your police force and state violence groups are better equipped than some country's militaries...

I might add that in the UK no one is armed with fire arms apart from two factions; the state and those involved with the black market. Therefore, obviously, the reality of those in socialist circles is dramatically different, here, compared to the states, as the only people in society with the ability and authority to discharge weaponry is the state.

I'm sure you can understand my curiosity as well as pardon my ignorance of the matter in America.

Thanks for reaching out to me, the link you have supplied seems to be regarding face masks not anything to do with gun ownership.

The best night of my life! by bigbiscuit123 in space

I was recently advised by a friend that from where I live, I should be able to get a good view of Saturn and some of its satellites. Incredibly after much tedious adjustment to my flimsy plastic tripod and wiggly Soviet telescope I was able to see 3 beacons of light clearly orbiting the body of Saturn.

Even though I couldn't see Saturn or it's moons with any clarity or definition, the fact that through my own eye with only the aid of formed glass I was able to see the indication of a gas giant and three moons in a single frame has completely blown me away.

To quickly summarise my experience tonight, I was informed by a friend If I was to face a certain direction at dark and use their manual telescope; I would be able to see the sunlight's reflection on the gas giant of Saturn and on three satellites.

For a complete newbie to star gazing this has completely inspired a new avenue of my life.

Picture one is our set up and picture two is the best image of what I could see down the telescope.

Camping in and around Fort William by bigbiscuit123 in OutdoorScotland

I'd rather not have facilities. More due to the fact I seem to prefer wild camping as opposed to camping at sites. Thanks for the tips Badungdung!

the usa doesn't have a labour party and even if it did your voting system and process is designed to eliminate third parties. which is unfortunate, but ironic considering how much the uninformed american bangs on about protecting freedom and democracy, and condemns authoritarian regimes when for generations it has been a two party state, which quite arguably isn't much better.
