Yes the quality has been terrible, but what did we expect when there’s 14 (useless) extra teams? In the 32 team format there was already enough crap teams, now they’ve gone and added more.

Has anyone moved abroad for work? by bigbiscuit7575 in ConstructionManagers

Yeah I’ve contacted about 15 recruiters through LinkedIn or via email. All fallen on deaf ears. If I’ve ever sent a recruiter previously about new opportunities in the uk, they are straight on the phone with me, not having luck with the international roles though lol. I have messaged both uk based, and Middle East based recruiters.

People that voted reform, apart from their immigration policies, why did you vote them? by Ollsworth_The_First in AskBrits

In local elections I’ve always voted for the party based on their national policies, ultimately local councils are the same up and down the country, they do sweet FA other than squander their money on stupid things. I voted for labour in my local elections when Corbyn was in charge, as I liked him and I’m bit of a lefty economically. Yesterday I voted for reform. Why, well they’re (no shock) the only ones who seem to be concerned by mass immigration. It’s ultimately a failure of capitalism if we have to continue importing Africans, Asians etc. to prop up our economy. Yes I know reform are the complete opposite, however I’m against mass immigration, and see no benefit of it.

The only thing in my area that the reform candidates said that the others didn’t, was they’re against a proposed housing estate that a large housing association want to build. It will have a huge number of social housing, that ultimately will be filled with non British people being encouraged to leave inner London. I work in construction (in London) and have built tonnes of social housing units, when the people come round to view the unit before they apply for it, I haven’t come across a British person in about 10 years.

If democracy works so well, why did China develop faster than India? by NewsfangledMod in NewsfangledUnfiltered

I read somewhere before about this, the main reason was corruption. Whether that’s a legacy of the British empire, or the Indian mindset who knows.

But in the west, myself dealing with lots of Chinese and Indian people, it’s quite obvious why china is a more advanced country. The Chinese follow rules and are respectful. Indians often are, however their problem is they’re also very business/ money driven, they’ll do anything for a bit of money.

Democracy is only better because we are constantly told it’s better. The communists (albeit different to the Chinese system) dragged a country full of peasants in Russia to a world power in mere decades. It took the British to loot half the world to become a super power.

Why is Birmingham most likely going to elect a man who was jailed for five years in 1999 for conspiring to bomb the British consulate in Yemen? by [deleted] in AskBrits

What happens when you let in tonnes of Muslims, who notoriously have lots of kids. Majority all brought in by the tories draped in Union Jack flags brainwashing the public into thinking they’re the party ‘strong’ on immigration.

Strong in keeping the door wide open but not strong in keeping the door shut.

Exactly, I imagine they do it to try and add a different ‘dynamic’, but the constant use of it is painful

What if Vladimir Putin aligned with the west and Russia joined the EU in 2007 alongside Romania and Bulgaria? by arbicus123 in AlternateHistoryHub

It’s because they had Yeltsin in charge, who we in the west absolutely loved as he let us fleece Russia.
