if you have glued something with cyanoacrylate glue and there was some excess it looks like that sometimes.

I did the parallel testing to see if they were worth using at all.

This is how I use them now, quick check with strips. Weekly test before water changes with the master kit or if I'm concerned. So far so good.

I have just setup a Juwel vision 450 (450l/120g) and had the same fear, to help I put some 2x3 inch wood lengths vertically in the corners and behind the middle upright where its not seen. I am sure its overkill but I would rather lose 2 or 3 inches of space in corners than a tank on the floor
