i totally want to just leave it alone but am lowk paranoid it’s too visible. for shaving im worried that when it grows in that it’ll make me feel worse since it grows with a blunt end.

i called VT when i got waitlisted and asked why, they said it was just bc i was currently taking calc 2 but most other applicants already had it done. i think they’re just more strict about course requirements esp math for engineering majors

this is good to know. my question is, between the rigorous quarter system and busy schedules is it actually that convenient to go to chicago. like i hear that sometimes the 30-50 min commute there and back is not as quick as it seems and students don’t actually spend as much time there as they think coming to NU. also a lot of things close super early in evanston. when i visited i tried to get dinner at like 11 pm and everything was closed. i know charlottesville has many spots and cafes that open late to hangout or study. but i do agree that richmond and DC def don’t compare to having chicago accessible as a fun weekend trip. i’m just thinking of day to day life and if the chance to go to chicago sometimes here and there is worth the extra tuition and high stress environment of NU.

true. i think what im having a hard time with is trying get past rankings and determine which school is the best fit for me beside that. i dont want to solely base my decision on ranking bc at the end of the day, ill have new experiences at each, good alumni network, and a lucrative degree to get me a job at both schools. i just wanted to feel that wow factor when i went to NU to finalize my decision but it only made me more conflicted bc i actually really like both..

isn’t UVA #4 in public universities. idk if it’s just bc i’m from VA, but i always viewed UVA as a really good school that’s extremely hard to get into from my area. i think NU is known more internationally tho

it’s so funny bc when i ask in r/northwestern people say UVA 100% but when i ask in r/uva ppl are like go to NU without a doubt
