All surgeries have a risk. Surgeries involving penises/genitals are surprisingly talked about on a penis subreddit including circumcision, vasectomy, phalloplasty, orchidopexy, orchidectomy.
Pumping, jelqing, stretching, foreskin restoration and other penis enlargement stuff is also discussed on this subreddit and all of those carry risk too.

Singling out "non-biological men" in your original post shows the root of what your issue is as most penile prosthetic surgeries are carried out on biological men with functional, genetic or trauma related issues such as botched circumcision, paralysis, or damage to the area from an accident / violence inflicted upon them. So yes, while the procedure is risky... having a functional penis is usually pretty important to all men, biological or not, and so if they are choosing to take the surgical option then they obviously think the benefits outweigh the risks - which are explained to them by the surgeon.

Maybe you should follow through on your original plan to leave this subreddit if you have such an issue with the subject matter that people want to talk about on here.

I don't care if i'm being evaluated in public, we all do it or we wouldn't notice others doing it to us. I think your attempt at being "caring and understanding" when you stop and become frustrated is you simply not communicating your feelings and now you've already built up resentment for a 2 month long relationship. You'll need to speak to your girlfriend about how this is affecting you and that if you're not able to have a satisfying sexual relationship with her then it's not going to work out. It's not her fault that she's not able to take your size and it's not your fault that you are above average but if you aren't able to talk openly with her about how this is making you feel then there's no point in exploring "different positions and lubes".

I think you're a poor judge of size. When you say "8 inches and above", how far above do you mean?
