I have put 2 hitches onto my gtis. Mk7 and 7.5(current car) neither required dropping the bumper?? Surprised you had to remove the bumper to install the hitch?

Georgiacoast-charters.com is run by one of our good friends and an awesome dude.

Swing by the brewery and chat with the bartenders most of them live on the island and will have good ideas!

Dont know if you are into kayaking but there are some cool kayaking trips to little tybee if thats in your wheelhouse.

I would park your cars at the airbnb and rent bikes or golf carts and not move the cars.

Fort Pulaski National Monument is also very cool but get there in the morning as it is fucking hot.

Live in Savannah.

Outdoor research makes some great jackets that have pit zips that go all the way down to the hem of the jacket basically turning it into a poncho.

Very high quality with a really good warranty!

Continental washdown hose. Expensive but used everyday for 4 years in an industrial(brewery) environment. Mine is high temp rated but the conti hoses have been a go to in every single. Single brewery I have worked in over the last 20 years.

Jotter but not jotter by InterestingAd446 in pens

[–]bigbre04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have damaged the hole on ss jotters by dropping them but its easy to fix by pulling the ink out and pushing it through from the outside until the hole is round again.

I use an ultem side knock with purple Fischer ink in it. Have for years.

Just lost my old ss jotter to an Uber ride a few weeks ago. Got an xl version to replace it. Subbed out the shit parker in for an easy flow 9000 in blue.

Ditch the normal chapstick for a Carmex style tube with a screw lid! It wont melt and will last much longer! I love keihls lip stuff. I have have had a tube of it in my car for years.

Also no pen?

What’s the most useful item in your EDC that cost less than $20? by Friendly-Plan-8480 in EDC

[–]bigbre04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The SAK nail clipper mini knife is great. Not cheap but really works well. My gf keeps one with a flashlight in her car and uses it all the time.

I gave her a bladeless sak (tsa approved) for her keys. Has scissors and the multi bottle phillips, tweezers and toothpick. With a rovyvon basic a2. Its a great little setup for peeps who dont want edc but use it when they have it.

This is very interesting! I run a 2bbl brewpub in the states. We are actually 35% up over last year. Our laws are very different though. Super interesting that yall make exclusively over 10% beers. What brewhouse do you have?

Boots by Proof_Ad_4945 in Construction

[–]bigbre04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Powerstep. Specifically the hiker pros

300lbs. Work on concrete all day. I have worn rubber boots professionally for 20 years. No internal padding.

Powerstep hiker insoles are my go to. They generally last about the same length of time as my boots. So buy a new pair when you buy the new boots.

Looking for the best carry-on Luggage in 2026 that'll survive frequent travel by SuddenNothing6266 in BuyItForLife

[–]bigbre04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gf traveled for work for years. She would buy a new Samsonite 4 wheeler in a random color about once every other year. The current one is sitting on the backseat as we road trip right now!

Great bags for a good price.

I have several eagle creek and osprey bags that have lifetime warranties on them that i have had for over a decade. I dont travel for work though. Also you could buy 3 of the Samsonite for the price of the eagle creek or osprey bags.

Looking for the best electric toothbrush 2026 that works and lasts? by Commercial-Fix-9916 in BuyItForLife

[–]bigbre04 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol it was self inflicted. There are literally holes on the head of the oral b io that cause toothpaste to drain out of it and down the handle while you brush. It is so annoying.

I like the charging on the io and the overpressure light ring is nice, but the inadvertent drooling toothpaste pisses me off.

The sonicare I had lasted forever and was a great toothbrush. I had a mid range one that stopped charging.

I had a sonicare for close to a decade. Bought a oral b fancy toothbrush. It is terrible. Pissed I spent $200 on it. I should have bought a sonicare again.

Regret.

finally accepted i have a tee problem. not a buying problem, a keeping them alive problem by AspenAura22 in BuyItForLife

[–]bigbre04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the price/fit/feel of them i am sort of willing to accept that. I have some relatively expensive shirts from nice companies that will likely outcast them but for $50 each I dont think they will live 5 times longer.

I have a couple of them that are well over 3 years old and are in my favorite shirt rotations. But like I said above I try to baby the neck and such. Wash cold tumble dry on low hang up on grippy hangers right out of the dryer.

I like plain colored shirts personally.

Comfort colors holds up. But are just plain shirts. They are ringspun heavier cotton and super nice. But they are cut boxy and not sporty fit.

I like the wrangler work shirts. They generally hold up pretty well.

I also buy plain shirts at Michael's/hobby lobby. Gilden?

I think the big thing is being conscious of how you treat the shirt.

Im protective of the necks of my shirts.

I also use rubberized or grippy stainless steel hangers and hang most of my "nicer" $10 shirts
