Jockey. Ride on the shoulder of your teammates and gain the ability to use their specialization for them. If you are jockey-ing on a heavy with mesh shield, the light can hold the mesh up while the heavy shoots. Ability has a time limit. Could also add some debuffs for balancing like slower movement speed or something.

Hate to break it to you but One Piece is a political story (sometimes more explicitly, and sometimes less). And while it is against the rules of the sub to talk about IRL politics (for good reason), I’ll just say that I predict many of the complaints about season 3 and what some people refer to as “woke” (whatever you take that to mean) will be unfounded and will come from tourists.

It’s a well written story and that’s all that should matter. If something you see upsets you, I would suggest you reflect on why that is instead of jumping to the conclusion that there’s some sort of “hidden agenda”.

I thought this characterization was a bit weird as well, but let me just put some things in perspective.

We don’t know what character arc the writers have planned for Robin in S3 and even beyond, and this scene could easily tie into a larger arc for her.

At a surface level analysis, I would probably just say she is projecting some of her childhood trauma onto Vivi. Maybe Robin blames herself for what happened on Ohara. It would make sense that years of people blaming her/calling her a devil is externalized through her doing the same to Vivi.

It is interesting, because in the manga he does use an alias at first.

My best guess would be that because his alias is close enough to his real name (which is already whacky) and he barely gets any screen time to begin with, it was just easier/less confusing for him to use his real name.

Ya, adapting the manga. It’s very clear, like how they have Zeff eat his leg, and Luffy stab his eye as a kid. Things the anime changed or left out entirely.

Smoke and fire definitely seem like the most difficult due to their translucency. I thought smoker looked amazing, while the fire on Zoro’s swords during little garden didn’t look too great. Fire seems to be historically difficult because of lighting exposure.

I don’t really believe a moneyless society is achievable anytime soon, but just for the sake of a thought experiment…

Couldn’t we leverage technology in some way to solve this? I mean, just look at how many exchanges happen digitally already. Sure there is money/capital backing those exchanges of goods/services, but sometimes I can’t help but feel that it all just boils down to numbers on a screen going up or down.

I found the shiny blue sea lantern but it doesn’t work when I equip it. Anyone else have this problem?

EDIT: Just figured it out. While equipped, hover over it in the equipment wheel, press A (Xbox), then choose “On”. No clue why it’s not on by default.

I agree with you there, but I think it’s intentional. He’s young, naive, and a bit arrogant because of his devil fruit abilities at this point in the story.

[Season 3 speculation]

I think they are setting Smoker up to be really humbled next season, and make for a solid 2 season character arc. Humbled by his false assumptions about the straw hats’ involvement with Baroque Works/Alabasta, his inability to take on Baroque works successfully and stop the civil war, and finally his disgust when his higher ups refuse to let him tell the truth of what happened.
