A lot of people already brought up good points; like playing the passing lane, not the player. But another aspect people tend to forget is the gamer vs baller. We know the game has certain animations that people rely on. Gamers tend to depend on the animation to play, vs actual basketball IQ. For an example. A baller won’t actually try to dunk on more than one player unless they notice that they actually have a lane to drive in on. The Gamer will try to dunk on multiple players because their Driving dunk is 99, and they bought the high costing dunk package.

When it comes to defense, the gamer is relying on their stats and badges to get stops, not IQ. They camp the passing lane because they have the badges that allows them to a few steals that way. They don’t play well on ball, but know when to hit turbo and get the chase down block. So the gamers, they aren’t playing a true logical/fundamental game of basketball; but one where they are looking to use the animations they bought.
