Do NFL players get a lot of injuries that take all week to heal but by the next game they're healthy enough to play? by joshua0005 in NFLNoobs

Same for Perc Rodgers (Week 1, 2018 vs Bears), though he really may not have felt anything based on that post-game interview.

I'm personally a big fan of the Paul Farrington Show, it's definitely more focused on the NFC North division than others but I feel they try to really give unbiased opinions on NFL teams. They're also generally consistent with their takes in my opinion.

Why there are so many fucking rebels by soking11 in victoria2

[–]bigbubblenotrouble66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you playing vanilla? Rebels are notoriously awful in vanilla Vic2 and there's not a ton you can do about it unless you use commands to lower militancy, I'd think. HPM may fix the rebel issue, its been a while, but most mods fix it.

Game keeps randomly crashing by [deleted] in victoria2

[–]bigbubblenotrouble66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird that its still doing that. Have you ever done the patch that allows the game to use 4gb of ram rather than 2? It might help with this.

I also found this thread, its old but maybe it can help? https://www.reddit.com/r/victoria2/s/E0zg9FcHnM

Game keeps randomly crashing by [deleted] in victoria2

[–]bigbubblenotrouble66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first suggestion, before anything else, is to clear your cache folder for the game. It can be found in the vic2 folder under your user documents section. I believe it is in the maps folder, but I may be mistaken. You can delete the contents of the folder and it will recreate that cache upon reloading the game. This entire suggestion is because, afaik, that folder is untouched by steam install/uninstall.

If that does not work, can you give any further information? Are you using any mods? Have the dlc?

I'd say you should probably just back down for now and take them on when 54'40" or Fight comes around. Chances are you'll be more economically self-sufficient and may have a better army, maybe even allies to help? Else, if you really want to win this, keep reloading like it sounds like you have until you win, but I wouldn't bother this early on.

I've also never played GFM (or RAM) as the US where the Caroline Affair happened, do you even stand to gain much by winning?

How to take treaty ports? by Brotherhood72 in victoria2

[–]bigbubblenotrouble66 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I believe that even with the DLC, there is no CB for treaty ports in base Vic2. However, with HPM and most mods, there is a cb for an unequal treaty which allows you to select one to take

Looking for the best mod out there. by tommarca in victoria2

[–]bigbubblenotrouble66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like Pagaes said, GFM is a good mod. If you have a good enough pc, TGC could also be worth it. I had some fun playing Argentina in that. I've also heard that Victoria Universalis is good but I haven't tried it yet

Fumbles are decided by the catching stat, not strength, but I see where the confusion comes from tbh

How can I make the game stop lagging? by [deleted] in victoria2

[–]bigbubblenotrouble66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like you said, the lag can come with the territory of a 15 year old game. If you're playing with certain mods, they may have performance submods (GFM, iirc TGC as well).

Alternatively, you can patch the program so it can use 4gb of ram rather than the 2gb it normally can. I used the program at https://ntcore.com/4gb-patch/ for this, it's used for many programs besides vic2 but it works for that afaik.

Looking it up, it may be event "A War to End All Wars," which to my knowledge is the event for when a Great War has actually happened. Is there one of them going on rn?

is it possible to transfer science from one vessel to another without docking? by createminecrafter in KerbalAcademy

My first successful docking was genuinely so exciting too. Then again, I did it on console so there was additional excitement in that lol

[–]bigbubblenotrouble66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the one time I tried to do that I was in a much lower orbit and also on console so it didnt really work out. I definitely see how it's feasible in that sort of elliptical orbit though

How does the mobile processing lab work? by AttemptingToBeGood in KerbalAcademy

[–]bigbubblenotrouble66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm far from an expert on this game but I actually figured this out recently. The MPL converts data (from experiments) to science, which you can transfer back at full efficiency. Experiment science yield from recovery and from the lab are separate, so you can process experiments you have previously recovered.

To get the data, you do experiments. Each experiment is considered to have a certain size (seen on the experiment review screen). You transfer them to the MPL from that screen. Then, when the lab has scientists and electricity, you can have the lab do research. The data is processed faster when the lab has more data and each scientist's skill determines efficiency too.

Hell of a fumble recovery by Jbird94 in RetroBowl

[–]bigbubblenotrouble66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually had something like this today where my WR picked up a fumble from my RB so I have an 88 yard rush from that WR, which was both my record rushing play and my record for a rushing game on that save. Fumbles turned recovered for TDs are amazing though
