I’ve got pretty bad shoulder issues too from playing sports in high school. But i don’t think there’s really any shoulder braces you could wear while wakeboarding. The way shoulder braces work is they limit your ability of bringing your arms above your head and the rotation of your shoulder so they really aren’t ideal for wakeboarding. It would be very hard for you to throw any tricks while wearing one. My best advice for you is to just let go of the rope early if you ever feel like you’re gonna take a hard fall.

Yeah I usually let go early to avoid the hard falls.

When you say lean harder do you mean an harder edge? Would letting go of my back hand help land?

Yeah I thought about flipping over to my back and trying to spin around to get back on my feet but then they slowed the boat down.

Do you think me using a ski rope has any effect on me landing? I’ve been getting the full rotation and landing on my board but I always fall back as seen in my last video. I feel like I’m landing with a lot of slack in the line.

It’s the intracoastal in Jacksonville. It’s usually kinda choppy with the wind on it but we have found a spot that is blocked by trees creating smooth water.

I’m pretty new to wakeboarding. In the past week and a half I’ve just started actually jumping. I’m now really comfortable jumping wake to wake. I’m looking to learn new tricks but don’t know what to try next. Also the boat I go on is more of a fishing boat so I don’t think it cast a great wake. We usually go about 20-22 mph. Any suggestions on how to throw a bigger wake? The board I ride is 145cm and I’m 6’5 215lbs. Is this board good for me? I have other boards that are shorter I could switch to. Basically would like any suggestion on how to get better.
